Re: singing jaws
Hello,
I would like to know how to do a back quote? the typical quote doesn't seem to work. I didn't know there was more than one kind of quote in print?
Thanks,
Brandon Keith Biggs

Re: How to mute certain keys
Insert f2 then the letter s twice. Unless you are using JAWS 1 or lower. Then insert f2 and the letter c for configuration manager. Same after that.

Re: Beyond Text medical transcription software
Hi Brian,
That sounds like a challenging situation. The good part is that, from my
understanding of your message, you will be working with a familiar account
once you conquer the new platform.

Turning off announcement for computer braille?
Hello, while customizing Jaws 13 with the settings center, and also getting used to the way things work, I'd like not to have Jaws speak the computer braille message. Where can I turn this off?
Thanks

Re: singing jaws
I saw it on twitter when the guy that invented Qwitter tweeted it.
Maybe he would know? Just a thought. :)
But Dave seems to be right about the text. I still think it's cool though.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only person with a problem with Jaws 13. I co ntacted Freedom Scientific about my problem this molrn ing and had to leave a voice message. I've received no response

Re: JAWS 13
At the suggestion of the list, I looked at thunder. Limited as it is,
it may just be the little engine that could on Access. It can't read
column headers, but JFW can, so bring on 13!

Re: JAWS 13
It's pretty good, however I have better things to spend my money on so will not upgrade or renew my SMA at this time. Let's just say the new features are what should have been in JAWS 11 or 12 instead

Re: Braille display freezing with Jaws 13
Kim,
Have you tried waiting 5 to 15 seconds to see if JAWS wakes up again? Just
wondering if this is similar to my "housekeeping" halt that JAWS 13 does
when closing some document types.

Thanks, but what I want is to mute certain specific keys like enter,
shift, alt and tab rather than turning off the whole keyboard.
