I wish I could write code but if you ask me how to fry an egg, I forget to get the frying pan out of the cabinet when I write the instructions. I am sure you know what I mean.

Re: How To Stop Jaws From Saying "Vertical Tab"
Hi, Carolyn. We have since determined that Shift plus 6 will not work. Nevertheless, Shift plus 6 should be the caret. Shift plus 7 is the and sign.

When I pressed Shift-6, I got the & sign. I thought about trying
Insert-6, but was afraid I might end up doing something that ought not to
be done. Thanks.

Are there similar instructions on how to get Jaws not to say cell cell cell every time it moves over a cell in a table?
Thanks,

Hi, Kimber. Try entering these two entries into the dictionary. \013 and \010. These are for the linefeed and carriage return respectively, and these are the ASCII symbols which signal a new line.

I have these steps from the other list, and will try them.
Hopefully, others will benefit from them if they do indeed work for this issue.
