Re: Outlook 2010 searching by subject
Press control-shift-f. the edit field that comes up immediately is the one for subject.
Wait until JAWS verbalizes "Find now," then press F6 to go into the list of relevant messages.

Alt v, then a, then b, then j.
To get back to date, it's alt, v, a, b, d.
I usually first get to subject heading I want to find, then apply the command

Re: Setting up Outlook
I agree wholeheartedly with that change. I always also turn of the People Pane and the To Do Bar (if you don't use it).

JAWS contains a help topic for Outlook, which can be accessed by holding the JAWS key and pressing F1 twice quickly from within Outlook. JAWS help for Outlook contains a section on getting started

Anyone here work with wordpress.com? If so I have some questions which might
turn into several, so I can provide my phone number privately if it needs to
go that far.
Probono support would be awesome

Setting up Outlook
I’m starting a new job tomorrow, and will be using Outlook. Likely 2013. As I don’t use Outlook at home, I’m asking for any advice on what to turn on or off in Outlook to make Jaws work

Perhaps there's a JAWS setting that controls speech output in password fields which you changed inadvertently?

I also used to hear the stars until a week ago. But something seems to have been changed during the week. Even a system restore has not sorted out the problem.
