Keith, with Office 10, I have copied a list and have it in a pull-out drawer at hand. I was so familiar with so much in Office 2003, but when I got this ribbon deal, well, I just had to keep my notes

No, unless freedom scientific have change something, first letter navigation does not work with virtual ribbon menu.

how to use them, and I make sure my students do as well. I just find it
easier to get at some of the options that are buried

I believe you are talking about the virtual ribbon. FS created that to be
used by those who had ribbonfolbia. Which is a fear of using the ribbon.
