I use control up or down arrow to read by paragraph on multi page documents.
Just having to divert your attention for the second it takes to use the
keystroke will help you stay crisp while focusing

Arrow to read by paragraph. P will read by paragraph if you are on a web

I do realize that there is more to just the actual scanner. The software side as far as OCR goes it's already taken care of. That is why that is not brought up on the original message.
