Allen,
in the future, you don't have to have the item on the desktop to be able to set a hot key/keystroke. You can simply right-click on the program from the start menu to get to the properties

No, no. It's a DOS command, and must be run either from the run command, or from a dos box. I recommend the latter. Just go to run, and type or choose "command." That will place you at an

It may be possible to uncheck all files using tanmsdos command like xcopy. I don't remember how, but you might find the way through Google.

That happens on one of our custom apps too. I simply disabled auto forms mode for that one app, using Ins-V, and a little navigation.

Is it possible you have a bug? Not all viruses do unspeakable, horrible things. Some just do weird things. I remember one several years ago that turned every document into a template. What version
