I have Jaws 14 and Windows 7 64 bit, and am wondering if anyone had any comments or recommendations regarding which Open Book / camera / scanner type systems , would work best with

You mean cut and paste or make a copy? OK I do open files and try the save as. The problem is I can't say e:bobbyday for example because E: is an invalid entry. I try to save and tab across to

I don't know if you read it or not, but try hitting windows, typing
downloads and hit enter. Your downloads will be there! Judith

Just press the Windows key (left of the left-hand Alt key)
Then type computer name
press enter
Then tab until you hear:
Device Manager link
press enter
Tab once and you will hear your

Bingo!
Bingo guys! I hit the windows key, typed "Downloads" and found the JFW 14
manual! I started listening to it and know I'll have a myriad of questions
after the Jewish holiday. I can't thank you

Hmmm, Did you replace [computer name] with your own logon name?
Instead, why not press the Windows button from the desktop to open the
search edit field, then type:
downloads
and press

the path has to be complete. documents, for example, is (maybe) c:\libraries\documents\folder\file. downloads c:\users\computer name\downloads.

Often insert+tab will read the current line, even if arrowing doesn't do it. Or just type in the location you want. e:\something.something will get it there.

Speech doesn't read the folders in my experience when you go through this process.
When yu go through folders JAWS seems to read nothing and trying to guess where your saving stuff to don't work

If your computer is named Judy, it would be in

Instead of hitting enter on the download link, use the applications menu and arrow down to 'save target as'. There you can specify the file name and the location to save to.
