Re: question on jaws latest update
William,
Since your problem clearly occurred with the latest upgrade, you might want
to back out by installing version 13 from scratch and updating to one
upgrade less, and re-checking.

SQL Server Management Studio
Hello,
JAWS does not seem to read the object explorer in the SQL Server Management System correctly.
Does anyone know of a work around for this?
Thanks,
Balaji

Very useful. But it turns off all JAWS speech, while putting JAWS to sleep is program specific.

To be clear, what you say here about insert-s (JAWS key+s) is correct, and
it's a useful option.

Ann,
Are you surprised? Oh, yes -- I'm sure you're being facetious.

Insert-spacebar, then s, doesn't work in a tandem session. Or, more correctly, it turns speech off but does not toggle it back on. Putting JAWS to sleep interrupts the tandem session.
Isn't that

Actually, insert space activates options for a set of layered commands in jaws. Yes, the OCR option is there, but others such as speech toggle and ResearchIt are also present.

Insert plus s cycles speech options through all, none and back to
highlighted, assuming you have highlighted speech on in the first place.
Insert plus spacebar activates OCR recognition.
