Hank W

Hello,

I am a jaws 2022 user who has never used the web based version of outlook mail and I might have to start using the web based version of outlook mail at a new job that I will be starting shortly.

So I am really, really hoping jaws 2022 works at least fairly well, fairly smooth with the web based version of outlook mail. Can someone please maybe be so kind as to let me know if they find that jaws works yes fairly well, yes works smooth with no headaches with the web based version of outlook mail or if on the other hand they particularly maybe find that jaws does not work too well with the web based version of outlook mail?

Will I maybe need to use the outlook mail shortcut keys most of the time to get jaws to work well with the web based version of outlook mail? Any possible help that maybe I can get on this important matter would be so, so very much appreciated! Much, much thanks in advance for any possible help I can maybe get with this. 😊

Kindest regards,

Hank

Hi, Mike. I buy titles from Amazon, because I don't want my music-listening
to be tied to whether the Internet is up, and I have data. I want to own my
music, not rent it.

For informational purposes only:

The song is available for listening on Amazon Music Unlimited.
With 70 mil titles available there, I cannot imagine why anyone still buys
music.
I know I don't.

Hi, Andrew. When I did a search on Amazon.com, in Digital Music, I searched
for,
there goes my life, Kenny Chesney
The song came up, but when I clicked on the link associated with that title,
and there were about three, Google Chrome said, Page not found. So, it looks
as if the title is not available for purchase.

The last one I bought was 128 bit, about a year or two back, and I gave it a
poor review for the low quality.
Maybe other people complained if Amazon had started using lower bit rates,
and went back to better bit rates.
But having stated that, I still think you should get a better quality than
you can get from Youtube.

Hi, Glenn. I don't believe this to be true. The vast majority of songs on
Amazon are at least 192 kbps, not 128 kbps. Some are even higher, in the 200
range.

I would expect at least 220 bit rate, if not 320 bit after paying for a
song.
320 bit is what you get from a CD if you have your rip settings set
correctly.
By default, the rip settings are usually at 128, which is horrible, and once

they are ripped at 128, you cannot just go in and change the bit rate of a
file, you are just making a high quality recording of a poor sounding file.

What fluff?

Chrome and Edge are practically the same. Obviously one is made by microsoft and the other by Google, but all based on chromium code, which is at least mostlys pearheaded by google.

A good reason maybe nto to use chrome is if you are uncomfortable with all the tracking and ad-targetting that google does.

But  you won’t notice any of that while using it.

Anyway, if you want to get chrome, there is a link right there on the main google page to download it.

I called Microsoft accessibility. They logged on remotely. I had to use Narrator to use quick assist. I opened excel and tried to add a row using the control shift and =. It worked. I then unloaded Narrator and loaded Jaws. Now it worked. I didn’t change anything. I rebotted and tried it again. It still works. The other day I had noticed that when in a cell I could no longer use the home key to move all the way to the right like I had in the past. Well now that works as well. Got me what corrected the problem.s

An example of this is my eMail account.
I bought the domain Ervin.eMail from name.com
Name.com has an eMail server too for your domain.
That is why my eMail is Glenn@...
I wanted .net or .org, but they cost too much.
They have other domains, like .family and the like.
I think GoDaddy does this too, and there are others I'm sure.
I have to say that name.com's web interface is not very screenreader friendly, and I've complained, but they only say they will look into it.
But I access it through a mail client anyway, and almost never need to get to that page.
If I can figure out the method of getting the ownership page out of name.com for my domain, I may carry my domain to another provider.

Hi Brian, You mentioned paid option. Do you mean gmail or outlook.com can be paid options?

Which is an entirely appropriate personal choice.  It's also one I don't share.

But whether using a free service like gmail, outlook.com, or a paid option it's still a much better idea than ever using ISP provided email addresses.  People can and do change ISPs and ISPs do go out of business (or out of the e-mail business, e.g., Verizon) and in those cases your email address often goes right along with those changes.

Given how many entities we provide e-mail addresses to, much like we once (and still do) provide phone numbers to, you want your email address to be every bit as stable as your phone number, if not more so.
