Yes, it does, and I don't even know if it needs to set up. I believe that all the apps and files are reset when the restart begins.

I am running Jaws 22 and windows 11 on a Lenovo tiny desktop.

I need to do a full factory reset and have info to do this.

What I need to be sure of is that when this is completed, and the system shut down, does it begin the new setup of win 11 when re-booted?

Thanks

HI Ware, can you tell me what version so Siebel you are using.

One thing to be aware of is that there are times in the grids that you’ll need to press an F2 to trigger more events within the grid or tables.

There are lots of tips but I’d need to know more about the Application you are u sing and as I asked what version of Seibel you are using.

You can certainly contact me separately if you’d like.

moderated JAWS and Jira

Don Mauck

Here are a couple of tips.

If you type a period, you land in a smart search. So, you can search for the word “create” and you might see ‘create new issue” or “create new Sub-item’ and you can select that. You search for the word “watch” and watch or un-watch an issue, there are many other smart searches that you can find depending upon your role and responsibilities.

Next major function for me is to add a comment. By pressing the JAWS pass through key, (iNsert+3) then press the letter ‘m’ you will be placed in the edit field. In the version of Jira I have to use, these edit fields have no labels.

When you look at any tables that are created in Jira, you will see odd column headings that apparently the user cannot change. So, for example, Percentage complete, might just be “p”, takes some getting used to. There are many links that do not have labels and if any Partial Page Refreshes, there is no ARIA-live message to inform you of a screen change.

Keep in mind as my first post states, I’m forced to run an on-premise version of Jira so the web version may be different.

moderated Re: : Re: Jaws and Jira

Don Mauck

If you are using the on-premise version of Jira it does not have the accessibility support as the web version of Jira does.
Atlassian is no longer fixing any bugs for accessibility in the on-premise version and it has its share of issues.

Hi all. We use Jira to run our ticketing system at work. It seems to work OK with JAWS. I have used it from a customer side, and on the admin side too, because I do handle tickets that are assigned to me.
You can utilize emails to send responses back and forth to customers on existing tickets, which I think it a nice feature. Like any platform, it has its quirks, and can be challenging at times, but overall my experience has been positive.

Press ctrl-f6. Thjis was working in internet explorer and it is finally

You don't have to press f6 until you are in the webpage again.

elements on a webpage, but also moves to the address bar, the section on

I think that part of the problem, and I'm guilty of it, is that we don't
close browsers completely very often.
Is there a quick way, with Chrome and Edge, to cancel anything and
everything that is open.
Truthfully, I don't need as much open as often I have; and it can and does
problems on occasion.
I can always go back to things with history which to me is probably more
valuable then open tabs.

This is indeed true. It's about time!

Also, I find that if I want to get all of my pages closed and shut down the

Thanks so much; I back spaced and did not find the attachment. However, I found a button that said expand header. When I clicked on that, the attachments were all of a sudden there. So, I’m not sure how that happened, but I think the issue is fixed. I have certainly had the same problem when attachments are embedded in the body of the email.

Many thanks,

Sometimes they are embedded in the email and not where you can Shift tab to them.   Can you Shift Tab to them?  If you are in the body of the message, Shift Tab once should take you to the field where they are.  Also, try going to File, save attachments.  If nothing else, it’s a test to see if they are really there.    And, if you are hearing the attachment indication while in the inbox, but you don’t see them in the message, it could be that the attachment is some embedded graphic, such as when someone uses and image for their signature file.

Hi All,

I am still using JAWS 2021, and I use Outlook 2016 I believe. All of a sudden, in the last couple of weeks, the insert + A shortcut doesn’t work to access attachments. I just get a message telling me there are no attachments in the document when I know they are there. Any suggestions about what might have changed?

Many thanks,

Cynthia

HI Ware, can you tell me what version so Siebel you are using.

One thing to be aware of is that there are times in the grids that you’ll need to press an F2 to trigger more events within the grid or tables.

There are lots of tips but I’d need to know more about the Application you are u sing and as I asked what version of Seibel you are using.

You can certainly contact me separately if you’d like.

I do use this.  Still wish that tabbing didn’t’ take you out of the webpage, especially since the F6 navigation exists.

Have you tried using F6 to cycle back to the main part of the webpage where you want to be?

My guess, as this happens to me, is that tabbing not only moves you through elements on a webpage, but also moves to the address bar, the section on the toolbar where all your open tabs are listed, and at least one other browser navigation thing, depending on your browser and settings.   Drives me crazy and I’d love to know if there is a way to stop it, but I havent’ found it in any modern browser.  I tend to use tab, since I don’t always know if what I’m looking for is a button or link, but tab goes right on past the last element on a webpage and lands  on those browser navigation buttons.

Is there a tutorial on how to use tabs with JAWS. I am having a problem and I am not sure what I am doing to cause the problem. I can be in one tab and navigating through the web page and suddenly I am in a different tab.Or back in the address bar and can't get out of it.
