Bill,

I am using a laptop with laptop layout. For me, the F10 key is right above the 0 key.  You would very well be right. I’m often hitting JAWS F10 to open the list of running program’s  I’m going to guess that is the issue. I’m just often too fast and impatient. Trying to slow myself down.

Hi Tom,

To restore your bookmarks bar, try this:

With focus in Chrome, press alt-f, then b

Arrow down to the checkbox for the bookmarks bar. Assuming it’s unchecked, press enter.

I hope this works for you. It just did for me.

Hello, everyone.

Up until today, I could easily access my bookmark list in Google Chrome when in the main search window by pressing alt F and then B for bookmarks.  Once there, it was very easy to arrow down or use first-letter navigation to get to the bookmark I was looking for.

Now, wheneber I hit alt F, I land in a help menu, and have to physically navigate to my bookmark list by using my arrow keys.

I’m not sure what has changed or why.

I’m also not sure how to get things to function the way they previously did.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

The new list has more actions with each bookmark, and is rather difficult to

If anyone has any clarifications on this, or any other work-arounds, I'd

I believe in modern JAWS you can just set this in the settings center or quick settings dialog.
I know that in JAWS 8  punctuation was tied to voice   profiles, but I am fairly sure that now you can just change a setting.

Hi, Robin. You are correct in your idea that you won't have any trouble unless you save any edits in the Outlook script when you open it with JAWS key plus zero. You should be able to figure out quite quickly what you wanted to do when you press JAWS key plus zero, because the script manager window will open immediately after you press that keystroke. Incidentally, remember that the JAWS key can also be the CAPSLOCK Key if you are using JAWS in Laptop Keyboard Mode.

Hi again, Robin. By the way, this message is not telling you that you shared a script. It is telling you that the script is residing in the Shared folder of your JAWS program.

I have a tendency to hit some key combination that results in a window with the following “JAWS Script Manager - [Shared:Outlook.JSS]”  Anyone know what I’m hitting that does this?  I can exit out of the screen easily enough, but is there any other repercussion of this being triggered?  Using JAWS 2022 on Windows 10 with Office 365.

Hi, Robin. While in the Outlook mail app, you are accidentally pressing JAWS key plus zero on the numbers row, which is opening up Script Manager in JAWS.

Hi Dennis,

I think the constant cmsgAlert_L is placed in a file which is not included in the included section of default.jss. Try to find out the name of this file and add it to the include section. Typically constants are placed in *.jsh files but it also could be that this constant is a message which are placed in *.jsm files.

Do you have any third-party scripts installed? Or do you have your own scripts in a custom Default.jss?

I get the Unknown Constant error when I try to compile default.jss.
The line is as follows, and is in the MSAAAlertHandler event.
Let sMsgLong = formatString (cmsgAlert_L, sText)

Thanks,

Do you have Leasey installed? if so that may be the problem. Leasey overwrites many user scripts with its own custom ones.
