Jaws doesn't have a command for this , but Windows does
and Jaws will tell you if a screenis maximized or not if you press, Alt +
spacebar, to open system settings and down arrow through the options. If
the, Maximize, setting says, unavailable, that means that the screen is
maximized. But if maximize doesn't say unavailable press enter on it to
maximize it.
The shortcut keystroke to maximize a window is, Windows
key + up arrow.

Get size of Browser Window
Mark
In web sites, the size of the browser window can affect the visual interface dramatically. In some pages, a menu bar on a wide screen could get folded into a collapsed button menu on a smaller screen. A person might not realize their browser window is half the screen size and that the layout of a favorite webpage is suddenly quite different. Is there any JAWS command that could help report the size of the window thing? A message such as "Window is not maximized", could be helpful. Maybe "Window is 50% width of the screen" or "Windows is 100% width of the screen"

Re: How To Adjust Windows Sounds Volume On A Windows 10 PC
Mike B.
Hi Sherry,
This is what I do, but Bill pointed out something to me
privately and I think you're trying to say it here as well.
After makeing a volume setting adjustment to a
particular device in the volume mixer you're supposed to close the volume mixer
without any other navigation.
Before I would tab to another setting without closing and
that's why my volume adjustments for the individual devices were not
sticking.
So the lesson I learned is that if you want to
change the volume on more than 1 device in the volume mixer you need to close
the volume mixer after each device setting adjustment. Thankyou Sherry and
Bill for getting me on the right track.

Hi, Tom. You adjust your volume for System Sounds, more or less the same way you do for the System Volume. In your System tray, you will have a button for Speaker Volume. Right click that icon. 2. Arrow down to Volume Mixer, and press ENTER. 3. Now, TAB through the volume buttons until you find System Sounds Button. Press ENTER. 4. Arrow up and down to see which way the arrows are taking the System Sounds. Adjust according to the volume you desire. I always use the semicolon key while at the desktop to get the system to make the error sound.

I hit Enter. I guess it depends on what you are trying to do. I use the Touch cursor in an application to get to some buttons that the PC cursor cannot reach. Once I turn on Touch cursor, I hit page up to move to Form Controls. Then as I up and down arrow in the screen, the touch cursor is moving between the available form controls. Once I hear the one I want, I hit Enter and it activates the button.

Hi Shirley,
It's the JAWS key.

Please forgive this silly question, but when referring to the insert key, do you all mean the JAWS key or the Enter Key? I’m digging through my memory and can’t remember.
Thanks.

Here’s a non-techy understanding. You’re probably familiar with the F5 refresh process. The JAWS insert-escape command refreshes a screen in the sense that JAWS catches up with what is displayed on the screen. Often when JAWS can’t find something on a webpage that you’d expect to find there, insert-escape will enable JAWS to find it. I use the command many times daily.

I was just introduced to Insert + Escape. This does the following: Repaints all currently displayed items on the screen. However, I don't understand the sort of scenarios where I would use this. Can someone describe them?
