Hi, Judy. Since I recently updated Chrome and JAWS, Google Chrome is not telling me This site has access to your location. If you have JAWS 2022, and want to update to see if it will stop this annoying problem, the link to update JAWS is,

Hi, all, I know this has been brought up before, where in google chrome you get it saying for some websites that this site can access your location. I’ve ignored it, but now it’s finally getting to me. I know to go to alt D to bring it up, but I’m not quite sure what to do from there. Can someone post this again please. Thanks in advance. Virtualizing current control
Karen Reynolds
Hi, I frequently accidentally press the v instead of b when I am wanting to check the amount of batter time left before needing to charge my laptop. Normally I press insert plus shift plus the letter b. sometimes I mess up and hit v. What is the window that pops up that is “virtualizing current control”? If I do the same thing in an Outlook message it says “No text in current window”, even when there is text there. What is this shortcut key function?

Mr. White has asked the question that must be answered: Make and model of the computer?
There are some makes, Lenovo springs to mind, where the changes to turn off media keys/action keys/hot keys (or whatever that maker calls them) can be done outside of BIOS/UEFI and without sighted assistance. For most, and unless something has changed I know for HP, it must be done in BIOS/UEFI and requires sighted assistance. -- Brian - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 21H2, Build 19044 Here is a test to find out whether your mission in life is complete. have you tried using the advanced touch cursor mode, activate touch cursor, press jawsKey+a to turn on and off advanced mode, move to the object you want to see and press alt+enter for its properties. That may help.

Re: In Outlook, how do I "Click here to view in web browser?"

No, I have it displayed as html. Some emails don't have a link that allows you to view it in the browser. They only give a notice in the Outlook info bar.

Hi Bill,
Do you perhaps have your Emails displayed as plain text, rather than HTML? If so, you won’t get it as a link.
All the best
From: main@jfw.groups.io <main@jfw.groups.io> On Behalf Of Bill White
Hi, Brian. When I get the message saying, click here to view the message in your browser, it is just a notification, and there seems to be no way to click the link. There doesn't even seem to be a link when perusing the message. So there seems to be no way to actually look at the prompt to click here. I'm sure that, as a sighted person, there is some place that this prompt appears, but I know of no way of focusing on the prompt, or of finding the link that allows one to click and view the message in the browser.

Hi, all, I used to, say a year or so agao, be able to send a post to Next Door. I’m looking for a dog walker for my pet dog and wanted to post on there but it is impossible. I’ve tried different ways, going to “post a message” or “messages” and they want me to fill in the area I want it to go which I can’t seem to do. Has anyone had any luck with posting a message on there and if so, please let me know what you did and how you did it. Thanks so much in advance. Frustrated Judy & Libby

That doesn’t work for me, it just reads the subject line, date, to and from, etc.
Anyway, it doesn’t make sense, as the information you want is on the status line if you want the number of messages in the inbox.
