Hi, all, I know this has been brought up before, where in google chrome you get it saying for some websites that this site can access your location. I’ve ignored it, but now it’s finally getting to me. I know to go to alt D to bring it up, but I’m not quite sure what to do from there. Can someone post this again please. In JAWS 2022, current build, I'm getting the following error when I press Control plus Shift plus T in Zoom to hear the identity of the currently speaking conference participant:

Of course, the function name is first spoken, then spelled.


I am not using any third-party or homebrewed scripts for Zoom--this is straight outa-the-box JAWS. Works fine in 2021, best in 2020, all on current Zoom, 5.10.4.5035.

ways of turning off "Media Keys" or "Hotkeys". If it's a Dell, press the

key, which is usually just to the right of the lefthand CONTROL key plus

ESCAPE key. If it's another brand, you may be able to use a software

resident on the computer to change the behavior of the function keys. Some
Lenovo computers will respond to the same steps I gave above, press the FN
key plus ESCAPE, and see if that changes the behavior of the function

Do you perhaps have your Emails displayed as plain text, rather than HTML? If so, you won’t get it as a link.

Hi, Brian. When I get the message saying, click here to view the message in your browser, it is just a notification, and there seems to be no way to click the link. There doesn't even seem to be a link when perusing the message. So there seems to be no way to actually look at the prompt to click here. I'm sure that, as a sighted person, there is some place that this prompt appears, but I know of no way of focusing on the prompt, or of finding the link that allows one to click and view the message in the browser.

Might I ask what happens if you gain focus on that "click here" link and activate it?

I can't recall the last time I've actually done this either the sighted "point and click" method or with a screen reader, but I've done it enough that my observation is that activating that link should cause your default web browser to open with that page loaded (or at least loading, depending on how quick your internet is and how large what needs to be loaded).

Hi, all, I used to, say a year or so agao, be able to send a post to Next Door. I’m looking for a dog walker for my pet dog and wanted to post on there but it is impossible. I’ve tried different ways, going to “post a message” or “messages” and they want me to fill in the area I want it to go which I can’t seem to do. Has anyone had any luck with posting a message on there and if so, please let me know what you did and how you did it. Thanks so much in advance. Frustrated Judy & Libby

That doesn’t work for me, it just reads the subject line, date, to and from, etc.

Anyway, it doesn’t make sense, as the information you want is on the status line if you want the number of messages in the inbox.

Hi,
The easiest thing is to use the JAWS keystroke for reading the current line (Insert Up Arrow) while focus is on any message in the inbox.
