Hi,

Try turning the Virtual Cursor Off with Insert + Z, then press the Spacebar on the checkbox.

I am filling out a form to join a list to get pod casts. It’s fine all the way through except at the end when you’re supposed to check the “I am not a robot” box. It won’t check. Usually the space bar works, not this time, tried a few other keys, tried the jaws cursor, but I can’t get it to check. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.  Judy & Libby

Your USB computer speakers should show up as an external card also.

Set your default sound card to the amplifier by typing settings in the
windows search bar and using the up and down arrow keys.  After that
is done go into the Jaws utilities menu and choose the internal sound
card specifically, not the default which is now your amplifier.

I think that means you have to actually do the captcha, either by
audio or getting someone to fill out, like Aira.

Hi Mitch,

I wonder if this is a question of maximizing. I infer you’re referring to your email program, but I don’t recall which one you use.

One way to maximize could be to place focus against the folder list, press alt-spacebar, then x. I’m not sure it works in that context, but it’s worth a try.

Otherwise, you can maximize the program’s window from the desktop icon. Press alt-enter on the icon, then tab until you get the window sizing option. After that, you probably need to find the apply button, then the okay button.

Hi, On occasion contents within folders I have set up seem to disappear  although I know I have saved any number of messages within these folders.

Does anyone know of a reliable way to restore the contents of these folders.  Sometimes restarting the computer solves the puzzle but not always.

Thanks for any ideas.  Mitch

Best to get latest version of JAWS from internet and re install. Sounds like JAWS and a Windows update had a little tiff and JAWS lost.

Hi,

I'm running latest Windows10 and latest Jaws22. After some windows updates this week, Jaws V22 is unusable. Not only will it not read anything automatically when I arrow through it, but I now get this message each time Jaws22 starts up. Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it:

unknown function call to:
shellurltofilesend

I've repaired jaws three times, and uninstalled and re-installed twice, but nothing seems to fix the error. I've gone back temporarily to Jaws V21, which does work flawlessly.

Thanks for any advice,

Hi,

When you uninstalled JAWS and re-installed, did you remove all shared components in the uninstallation process?
Try it again if you didn't do this because it makes a difference in a lot of cases. You are right, repairing JAWS seldom does anything at all.
