When you op;opened and pulled down the Options, did you press Enter?

After Pressing Enter you should then see the Braille Display.

Now, Are you connecting the display via USB or Blutooth?

Whatever you choose needs to be established first before you and setup your braille display.

Just wanted to acknowledge your  email and see if anyone else has thoughts.  I guess I don’t notice it much anymore, but I found an email in my folder that was doing the nesting level indication where ther email had various bullet point lists.  I’ve been looking,  but annot find a setting to get rid of it. I thought  My recollection is that I would get emails with tables embeddingwithin tables and that was what nesting was indicating, but I cannot find an emaillike that to test.   I have JAWS set to not indicate tables used for formatting purposes only.
