Now I didn't know about a double-tap on
it.
That's handy for folks who might have trouble

Re: DWM Notification Window
Bill White
Hi, Dave. I think you will be OK, as long as your computer is running normally. Here is what I found on Google regarding DWM Notification Window
What Is Dwm Notification Window In Windows 10 Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) is a composition window manager that displays all of these nice effects in Windows: transparent windows, live taskbar thumbnails, Flip3D and even support for a high-resolution monitor. Instead of applications displaying their ads directly on your screen, they write the image of their window in a specific location in the memory.
Windows then creates a “composite” view of all the windows on the screen before they are sent to your monitor. Because Windows composes and displays the contents of each window, you can add effects such as transparency and window animations when superimposing viewports.

I’m no Power User and the little research I did on line prompted me to seek the help of list members for some advice. For the moment, all seems normal with my use of the latest JAWS and current Windows 10. Thanks very much for any help. Mitch

And if you type JAWS key plus A ttwice quickly, it will bring this up in the virtual browser so it is even easier to select and copy the parts you want.

Hi, My wife and I use TracFone which utilizes towers of name brand providers. Never had problems. Check the fine print with this company. May be great but many off brand providers have some hidden catches. They may not but am aware of some that have gotcha’s in the contract.

Hi all, is anyone using this service for your I Phone? I have Verizon at the moment, as does my wife. It looks to be cheaper. How does it work with iPhone? I have the iPhone SE, and the ad says I can get the iPhone 20 for free. Any comments? Jim

Re: kitty wireless.

One thing to consider when using any service other
than the main couple of providers, that is, the ones with the towers, that any
other provider is going to be a tier 2 or three provider, and you will get
bumped off for customers of the provider that owns the tower.
I've experienced this with Selectel, in a town with
lots of Verizon towers.
So if one can live with occasional loss of service,
the savings may be worth the trouble.

Now: List Rules - 12/01/2021
#cal-notice
main@jfw.groups.io Calendar <noreply@...>
List Rules When: Description: http://groups.io/g/jfw/wiki/List-Policies
**List Policies** 1: Keep it clean. We're a family list, and there are people here who probably don't want to hear everything *exactly* that's running through your head. If you wouldn't see it on TV, it doesn't belong in a post to the list. If you're not sure, email the administration before you post it to the list. Otherwise, you stand to see your posts moderated. 2: Stay on topic. We're a JFW-oriented list. That said, anything related to JFW, its functionality with programs etc is acceptable. If it doesn't have to do with JFW, it doesn't belong on the list. This includes, but isn't limited to, talk of other screen readers such as Window Eyes. 3: Listen to, and respect, the wishes of the admins/moderators. If you're asked by an admin or moderator to drop a subject, or take something to private emails (in the instance of two people carrying on a thread list-wide), please do so. If the subject is changed on a thread by an admin or moderator, it will be explained why in the email sent out with it. Please don't continue replying to the old subject. 4: Don't ask over the list for a position on the list administration. If you'd like to help out, it's of course welcome, but address the request to do so to the admin team, otherwise it'll be ignored. Requests are always welcome, whether help is being looked for or not. When help is needed, a post will be made to the list. The requests already received will be kept in mind. 5: Keep flaming to a minimum. This is not limited to flaming of each other, but goes beyond that, to flaming of products, opinions, ideas, suggestions, etc. Constructive criticism never hurts. Flame wars, especially public ones, both drive people from this list and are unwelcome here. either take the problem to private emails, or report the problem to list administration. 6. Respect the opinions and views of others. This is *very* important in any environment, most especially an online environment where the only gage one has on a person is what that person puts to writing. If you come off as hostile in your posting, whether you intended to or not, people will take it as such. Online, "face value" means just that. People make mistakes, people don't always have access to the same information you do. For that matter, people don't always have the same experience you do. If you know how someone can solve their problem, great. Suggest it to them and/or the list. Do *not* proceed to tell someone, on or off list, that they have no business posting. Repeat offenders of this particular rule will be banned for a week to 30 days, depending on the severity. Serious problems will be banned permanently. As always, if there are problems or questions with regards these policies, don't hesitate to send them off-list to jfw+owner@groups.io James,

The problem is that the play button is inside the video and you need
eyeballs to press it. On Tue, 30 Nov 2021 15:13:58 -0500, Milton Ota wrote: -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is: How do you spend it? John Covici wb2una covici@ccs.covici.com

Hi,
It looks like you have to have an account by signing in. I couldn’t find a way to play anything. Or even a web player to play the video.

Re: [External] Re: quick file conversion question
john clayton
Hi, The best and the easiest way to do what you are after is to burn the playlist to a disk through itunes itself, and the others should be able to play the disk without issue anywhere at all. When Itunes burns the .m4p's to the disk it loses the drm and is playable where ever you are able to play disks normally. none of the other methods/ convertors as suggested in this thread are likely to work, accept for playing the audio and having it recorded through whatever recording software, but if your machine has a dvd/cd drive burning is the easiest quickest way to do what you are after, imo. hth, *** “The most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. file conversion update
Jeff Lukacsena
Hello Everyone, I just wanted to report on the question I posted about converting mp4 iTunes files to mp3. First, to save time, I used Amazon and purchased the 4-5 I needed the song were already in Mp3. It cost me about $20-30. Second, my friend gave me a site that claims to offer free conversion of MP4 to MP3, but with a 1G limit. https://www.freeconvert.com/mp4-to-mp3 I will try it out when I have more time probably after the holidays. Thanks, Jeff
