Madison, I can't remember if you have an IOS device or not. If you do, here is another # you should keep handy. Apple help desk: 1-877-204-3930 The only time I've ever had trouble with both telephone numbers was when my Mac was converted to a Windows and I needed help. MS said, not their problem as it was a Apple product and Apple said it was now a windows so not their problem either. Finally I was able to talk to someone who did help, it was just an interesting and dare I say, frustrating situation.

Hi,
Has anyone used the Surface Go with JAWS? If so, can you comment on how well it works? We are just starting to look into this as a possible tablet to take with us when traveling for fairly basic tasks and I would appreciate your thoughts on your experience regarding using it with JAWS.
Thanks, Pam

Laura,
I really don't care how you see me, or anyone else does, either. This is not a popularity contest. I have posted what I posted in topics where the actual violation that triggered the need occurred, as well as stand alone. And the kinds of reactions it gets, including encouraging people to do what they should not be doing, is consistent. And I really don't care whether what I said puts Madison off or not. She's an adult. She needs to know these things. I'm not about to treat everyone here like they are children. It's amusing that when someone, not only me, can cite things like: 25 Forum Posting Etiquette Tips and the other article I referenced, that have been out there for years as guides, get accused of it "just being your opinion." It's not. It never has been. -- Brian - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 21H1, Build 19043 It is the function of creative men to perceive the relations between thoughts, or things, or forms of expression that may seem utterly different, and to be able to combine them into some new forms--the power to connect the seemingly unconnected. ~ William Plomer

And let's all keep in mind that not everybody is an old hand at using mailing lists. I happen to know that Madison is quite young so instead of criticizing let's tell her that cross-posting or posting the same question on multiple lists at the same time without giving one list a chance to provide answers is considered bad etiquette because many of use are on the Jaws and WinAccess lists she is in any case asking the same people and she may not realize this. We are all here to either educate or be educated and it's always a good idea to give somebody the benefit of the doubt at least until they have really proven they are not able or willing to get it. I think, for example, if somebody had replied explaining how this is considered to be bad list etiquette sending it privately is even a better approach.

And …… Also Brian, Use your own advice of “good etiquette and change the subject to reflect the change/content of the topic being discussed. Whether you mean to do so or not, you come across as very arrogant, condescending, and “all knowing” and, of course, you are not “all Knowing” and just because your opinion is different than many others doesn’t make yours right. I hope your treatment of Madison does not prevent her from seeking help in the future.

Hi,
Is there really any need for the hostility here? She is simply trying to get the answer as quickly as possible, and asking various groups, whether there is overlap or not, is a good way of doing that. There will be users here who are not on the other lists that were messaged, I know this as this is the only message I've received on the subject. I get it if the message was posted to lists for where it isn't relevant (vi-phone, Manchester united supporters trust, a fantasy basketball league) but as far as I am aware it wasn't. Your delete key works to delete mail in most mail clients, and deleting using most webmail services is hassle free, far easier than ranting because someone has sent you 2 emails instead of one.
