What do you do to get the time? Do you press Jaws Key + F12 or do you press Jaws Key + F11 to bring up the system try and then arrow down to where the time is displayed? Same difference, the system try has the information, but the keyboard shortcuts is there for quick access to said information.

I just go into the notification bar. Or where the time, network status etc. shows up. Generally there it tells you the battery strength.

I am assuming you are running windows 10? If yes, I would start by deleting all TWBlue setup files from your download folders. Then, you should click the link that Inamuddin Khan sent. This should download TWBlue_setup.exe
Clicking on the newly downloaded TWBlue_setup.exe should work.

By the way, also remember that you can set up any of the modern browsers to open with a defined page, or set of pages, or have it always open to the set of pages you had open when you last closed it.

Just curious what browser you're using? Glenn's recommendation will definitely work, and it's browser agnostic, but some browsers make it very easy to send a shortcut to the desktop, while others don't. As an aside, it's no surprise that Windows Live Mail is going wonky for you. There may be other methods people use, but here's how I make a link to a web page. While on the page, do alt + D This puts you in the address field. Then do control C to copy it Then you can do F6 to get out of the address field. Then focus on the desktop. If something is highlighted, that something is selected, which is likely the case, do control space to unselect it. Then use the applications key, or shift F10 if you don't have an applications key, and arrow to new, and right arrow into that, and down arrow to shortcut and press enter. Then you will be in the location field, so you can paste what you copied before. Then tab to next and give it a name, and then tab to okay or close or whatever. HTH. Glenn

Thanks all, I called tecdh support and after playing around we fixed it. Unforetunately not really sure what did the fix. We loaded default scripts, open and closed JFW a few times and then it started working fine with or without default scripts. Maybe it was just a grimmlin.

You need to press and release alt-escape key, unlike alt-tab where you hold down the alt key until you are in the window you want. It works on my regular computer as well, but I use alt-tab on my regular computer.
The reason I use alt-escape on my ElBraille is alt-tab will only cycle you between two windows, where alt-escape will move to all windows.

As an alternative, you can use alt-escape. I use this on my ElBraille, as there is no way to hold down the alt key and tab repeatedly. Every time you press alt-escape you move to the next window.

Hi, I have tried it with Edge and jaws 2021. It looks really interesting and would be great for some of my braille students. At the moment we aren't meeting face to face due to restrictions so not much braille is being done. We get together each week by zoom but this is just to talk about what is happening.

I must be having a brain freeze, because I’m having trouble remembering the keystrokes for being able too check the battery status level on my laptop computer with jaws 2021.

I just go into the notification bar. Or where the time, network status etc. shows up. Generally there it tells you the battery strength.

Jaws Key + Caps Lock + B requires quite the finger acrobatics and for me is actually an impossible key combination to press.

Insert plus capslock plus B works here as well.
Never knew that before.
Now, I have two options for checking battery status.

Hey Albert! I think the keystroke you're looking for is JAWS key+Shift+B.
