Re: JFW 2022 and alt+tab
Curtis Chong
Greetings:
Are you holding down the Alt key when cycling through the windows? It is working for me on my Windows 10 system with JAWS 2022. Hold down alt and press tab repeatedly.
With warm regards,
Curtis Chong

Hi all, When I alt+tab it just toggles me back and forth between the same 2 windows. If I want it to rotate through the open windows I have to use alt+shift+tab. I seem to recall this feature was modified in an earlier version of JFW, but I can’t recall how to change it back.

Using Windows 10 Home, and Jaws 2022 alt+tab is working as it always has. If you do not release the alt key, it cycles through all open windows, when you release the keys, you land in whatever windows was spoken.

I used to be able to go to the home page, find a link for posting a message, pick the category etc. Now none of the combo boxes work for the purposes of picking your category so it won’t go through. Give Windows 11 at least six months (next April) if not longer to get through its shake out period and to allow for the screen reader developers to get through that period as well. Maybe I'm wrong here, but I was told that folks cannot renew their older version of Jaws, it's get the new version or nothing.

If it's the case that windows 7 & 8 users cannot use the yearly subscription of Jaws, then FS should make a free version of Jaws for older systems. That would be a good will gesture on their part, and they have to know that someday 7 & 8 will be as difficult to use on-line as XP is now, so they should not fear losing customers, unless they are just interested into bullying everyone into using newer windows so they can still selling yearly subscriptions.

So if you have only the yearly subscription, you are screwed as far as Jaws goes, because if you want to use a perfectly fine windows, your yearly subscription will stop working, and you cannot just get a new yearly subscription for your older windows.
