Part of it was the ARA agent was not clear enough in their query.  “What’s your ID code”  I thought what is he talking about?  Then someone who uses ARA said it is your email subscription you signed up with.  I called ARA again and he said, “You need the quick support app from the app store for teams.”  I have a small business account which allots me 30 minutes or more free.  The agent said if it is business related it is not restricted to just 30 minutes.  Good thing as it took us 45 minutes to solve my problem.

Since it has been mentioned and I needed to get the quick support for teams yesterday to use ARA, does anyone know the subscription address for teams and Ara.  I was trying to unsubscribe from an paid advertiser and there was no way of unsubscribing using VO Thus I had to call Ara, they in turn asked for my ID.  To make long story short, I thought I know there is a group for ARA paid users and wondered if there was such a group for teams as well.  To be honest I never used teams or had to till yesterday, I’ve always used zoom or face time. Now I want the subscription to both groups if at all possible.

Hello,

I’m using the most recent versions of windows10, Jaws2021 and Google Chrome. For some reason for the last few days I will be on a web site and come across a field I need to enter text. The field already has text in it. I can move up and down and the value changes. The value is not even what I want. I can type over it. I just wonder why this suddenly started and is there a way to turn it off in Google Chrome?

This is a shot in the dark, but try the following:

1. While in Outlook open the Settings Center by pressing, Insert + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard.

 

2. Down arrow to, Text processing closed, and right arrow to open.

 

3. Down arrow to, General closed, an right arrow to open.

 

4. Down arrow to, Indicate Newlines when closed, and right arrow to open.

sometimes Autofill seems helpful, 

but when tapping around on a website  it frequently occurs that I am stuck in the autofill dialog and have no shortcut key to get out.

Any advice which keys are helpful?

I don’t get that issue at all.

 

Are you using the Conversation mode, since I have never used that mode, I just have individual emails and nothing like what you are describing happens.

IN the somewhat distant past I gather, there were third party scripts for iTunes and Jaws.

BlindTunes and jTunes, but they seem to be no more.  At least,   the links referenced from the Freedom Scientific page about them are not valid.

 

So, trying NVDA or Narrator is the best next option when dealing with the craziness of itunes.

That isn't jaws problem to fix.  Alt does not bring up the menu in itunes.  If you want the menu, hold alt and press one of the first letter options like f.  You can then arrow down through the file menu, or arrow over to whatever menu you want.

I don't really have your answer other than saying Teams must have a dial pad button somewhere which would be similar to Skype and other such apps which would then allow you to enter numbers during a call.

Anyways, I am a bit curious as to your statement regarding making and receiving calls. You say it's not difficult and I assume you use the computer and a headset to do so?

I am currently looking at possibly a different phone service for my small retail store and I know of one person here, a building contractor who did the renovation on my new store last year, who is also using Teams.

Right now I use a hosted cloud system which is done through a local guy here and it uses VoIP desk phones and on my iPhone I use an app called 3CX for it. I would be interested to know how, for example, it works if you are working on the computer, say you are in Outlook or maybe online and then a call comes in, do you simply answer using a button on the headset or is there a keyboard shortcut, does a window pop up with the call or does it all stay in the background?

Suggestion:

Instead turning off the autofill on the chrome, just start typing the value on the field. When the focus in the field, the filled text will be still selected. This is the default behaviour of the autofill function.

But, if you still want to turn off the autofill, follow the below steps.

  1. Open the settings on the chrome.
  2. Click on search and type the turm autofill.
  3. Wait for the results to be loaded.
  4. By pressing tab key now, you can see few of the links like, passwords, payment methods, and addresses and more.
  5. For instance, if you want to turnoff the address to be filled, just turn off the button which says “ Save and fill addresses Toggle button”
