The VLC that I use just uses up and down arrows for

Re: Viber scripts

Hi,
I know of no scripts for JAWS available for this antivirus software. It would help if you originally told us what version of HAWS you are running along with whether you are using Windows 7 or 10.
For me I’m running the public beta of JAWS 2022 and Windows 10 H1..
I’m not having any trouble accessing any of the controls that I need.

Hello, Yes, those two software’s have similar spelling. What I need is JFW scripts for Viber. Viber is a messaging app, with voice and video calling capabilities. Mobil version is accessible and I am using it on my iphone. However, desktop version is not accessible at all. Software is very popular in Europe, and all of my friends are using it. Here is the url: Viber.com

I have Vipre and have not found any trouble navigating its screens. It was recommended by friends as the most accessible antivirus software for the desktop using a screen reader. So, what is your problem and how might I be able to help.

Hello, Does anybody know where I can find JFW scripts for Viber desktop. I do not have problems using it on the Iphone, but desktop version is not accessible

Obviously, I need to experiment more, but I know now what to do enough to get it working when/if needed. Arrowing up through all the notes also works to get to the place to continue typing, but I will experiment with control+home Control+end. I haven't tried the page with NVDA, but I just tried to read Verizon's page of accessible phones, and it constantly brings up a chat window for chatting with a sales person, and I'm just trying to read the page. I cannot even go back, I can only close that tab and re-open it, and I can't get more than a line read about their phones. Anyone have recommendations on talking flip phones? BTW, finally, when I was put into a chat window I didn't like, I took that opportunity to type in a complaint about their page with a screenreader. Isn't that ironic?

Good morning everyone,
Just wanted all of you too know, that I was able too start playing the ACB New York state convention Stream with VLC media player. Now, I have some questions regarding there options. The shortcut options say that if you want too raise the volume, you should press the alt I key. If you want too lower it says that you should hit the alt key E. and too mute the playing of the particular stream that you are listening too, hit the alt key M key. I do have audio ducting enable using Jaws 2021 latest version, and am running windows 10. Could this be causing any of those combinations keys that I listed above, be the cause of the problem that I’m having? Or should I call the Microsoft disability answer desk, too uninstall my current version of VLC media player, and install it again? The thing is, I can’t even get any new updates that might be available.
Any help or advice about this ongoing issue would be very much appreciated.
Al However when I’m trying too hit any of these combinations keys, I can’t raise the volume, or hit the key combination M key too mute a media stream, none of them seem too work

Are you using alt+f4 and picking shut down? Re: OT, More On finding an accessible flip phone.

People have a rite to choose. There are many reasons substantiating a persons choice. I think this rite ought not to be abridged. There is a long way between choice and necessity. This is why it is fortunate there is now, and I hope in future, there will always be a fulfillment of the need for button driven phones.

Well I think regarding physical limitations only, 99.9% of people can use a touch screen, I could use one with my nose, my tongue, or even my toe if I had to. So when folks say they cannot, it is not for physical reasons IMO. But for me, I like the iPhone for apps, not for a phone. I like the simplicity of a flip phone. But if folks feel they cannot learn to use a touch screen, or just like me, prefer a flip phone, I get that. But I find it hard to accept that some folks cannot use a touch screen, unless they have other disabilities other than physical. But we are all different, and I look forward to always having options. I'm also guessing that your windows isn't trying to update before shutting down? When shutting down, at least in Windows 10, that can be an option. Judy sent from the Android BS6

The problem that I have is that my computer won't turn off everytime when I use the normal way to shut it down. I did everything I could to solve this problem but in the end, it was useless. Everytime when I attempt to shut down the computer, it says shutting down on the screen but the fan and the LED light next to the power button still remain on. When I first experienced this problem I thought that I packed my laptop with the switch facing down the backpack. After I realized this, I immediately corrected how I packed my laptop and the problem still existed. The laptop will get very hot from the fan and the fan will remain running until the computer battery drains out. Have you all experienced this problem before? If so, how did you fix it? Richard Turner <richardturner42@...>
Have you tried the Jaws passthrough key first? Incase Jaws is trying to grab those keys before the program? It is Insert+3 on the number row.

Re: Viber scripts

Hello, Yes, those two software’s have similar spelling. What I need is JFW scripts for Viber. Viber is a messaging app, with voice and video calling capabilities. Mobil version is accessible and I am using it on my iphone. However, desktop version is not accessible at all. Software is very popular in Europe, and all of my friends are using it. Here is the url: Viber.com

I have Vipre and have not found any trouble navigating its screens. It was recommended by friends as the most accessible antivirus software for the desktop using a screen reader. So, what is your problem and how might I be able to help.
