Re: Jeff Lukacsena: question on Adobe

Hello Jeff:
In Acrobat Reader DC, there is a save as text button in the file menu. At least, I see that button in the version I am running, which should be the most recent.

Hi List, I have a quick question on Adobe. I am able to open PDF, but I cannot seem to save them as text files, so I can edit them. There is a Save As button on the file menu. But it only seems to save the files as PDF. Anyone know how to change this. Thanks, Jeff

Hi there,
Do you have an online account with adobe.com? It has a PDF-text converter on it. I used it extensively during college in the last two years and it works quite well.

I’ve actually noticed the reverse situation too at times.
It seems that whenever someone sends me an e-mail with an attachment, using an IPhone, Jaws does not announce the existence of an attachment, even though an attachment is cleary there and can be accessed via shift tab.

Hi All,
I think I started this thread, and I wasn’t using preview, so there was a glitch at some point that I encounter every once in a while. When it happens, shift tab and JAWS key plus A don’t work. I do know that it happens consistently if people embed the attachment in the email message itself.

Hi, Zel. Apparently, what they are doing is looking at the message in Message Preview, without actually opening the message. JAWS key plus A won't work in this case. I actually go into Outlook Options, under the General Category, and turn off Live Preview. This makes it necessary to press ENTER to see a message, and once a message is open, you can use either JAWS key plus A to get to attachments, or you can use SHIFT plus TAB to get to the attachments list.

Hi, Steve. All that is necessary is that the screen curtain be turned on, each time the operating system loads. Once done, the curtain could stay up, until unloading of Windows. This would give the user a screen curtain, and also prevent lack of video at load of OS.

If not anyway I can prevent people spoofing in when I type in some personal content? Thanks -- Regards, Turab Chimthanawala (ACS, LLM) +91-8087813609 turabhvc@...
