Re: Key stroke in Google Chrome
Bill White
Hi, Tom. After logging into a website, and receiving the "save password" prompt, and pressing F6, you should land on the "save" button. Unfortunately, there is no quick way to save the password, such as ALT plus S in Google Chrome that I have found. You must press space or Enter on the save button to get the password to save. Then, if you have a gmail or Google account, it may ask you if you want to save your passwords in your Google account. You must then choose where to save the password, on the local machine, or in your Google account.

Hi,

Office 365 has a personal vault folder in which you can place files and folders. The vault has a separate password and once you open the vault it has a limited time that it remains open. You can set the time and once it closes you must re enter the password to again access the files and folders in the personal vault. You can add files and folders at different times and the password is needed each time. Dan

Re: NLS Humanware E-reader as a Braille Display
Cohn, Jonathan
Looking at this document, several of the chords mentioned are not the ones I use with my HumanWare Brailliant vi 40 display.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
For example to change Braille mode, is space with dots 2,5 while this document mentions chord-M. Several of the items in the listing mention focus features, so perhaps Focus Braille commands are differently laid out than HumanWare one even when they are just Perkins chord commands. Jonathan Cohn

To be clear, you are talking about the online version of Quick books not the stand-alone. I’ve heard from lots of folks that the online version works well with a screen reader.

Not only that, I was involved with Ted Drake, the accessibility manager at Intuit, and between us, we got a lot of accessibility fixes done on the website.
So I would contend it is now very accessible.

Re: password for folders?
You really can't do this, per se, without third party software or really convoluted workarounds. VeraCrypt is one good third party, and open-source, option if you're intent on doing this. I can't speak to its accessibility, as I don't use it myself and I rely on Windows (and the physical security of my machine, to which I control access) as my primary measures.
Once Windows began substantial enforcement of both file ownership and separate user IDs on a given machine it is the logging in to a specific user ID that is the primary way of keeping others who might use the same machine out of your stuff, and you out of theirs. -- Brian - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 21H1, Build 19043 It is the function of creative men to perceive the relations between thoughts, or things, or forms of expression that may seem utterly different, and to be able to combine them into some new forms--the power to connect the seemingly unconnected. ~ William Plomer

Re: Two Questions re Tables and MsWord
Ann,
I do the same thing. And I find it easier simply because you have to be located in the table, somewhere, in order for the row above/below or column left/right to have any meaning. It makes it easier for me to know just precisely where what I'm about to insert is going to land. Same for deletion, whether it be a single cell or an entire row or column.

Another way to add and delete columns is to use the applications menu--shift+f10, or the application menu key if you have one. Open the menu, down arrow to insert submenu, and go from there. to delete, same thing: down arrow to delete dot dot dot, whack enter, and choose from "cells to the right" "cells below" "entire row" "entire column". For me, the applications key is my friend. that way I don't have to remember so many key strokes.

Below is a direct link to down load and to install a uninstaller. What I love about the program is that its simple to install and even easier to use. So, enjoy the program. I'm not a expert on the program, but I do use it quite a bit. My fee is this. SMILES. I'm lucky enough to remember my scales and chords after taking eight years of piano lessons. I just can not be one with the piano. Now with my Alexa system, I haven't touched my poor piano in a long time. Maybe as one blind person to another you can help me out? If you place my hands on the keyboard and ask me to find a note and so on I can do that. But I can get everything by ear except the most important part. That is that I can't just pick up the notes and chords by ear. If I could, I think I'd continue to enjoy piano music. My s elf therapy program w between retiring and putting my first dog from Leader Dog to sleep on May 12th, 2003, and getting my last dog on March 17th, 2004, and putting him to sleep on June 28th, 2017. I love the Bill Brown learn to play by ear course. It took me eight years to learn in my opinion is the longest and best piece of music out there, the moonlight sonata in c sharp minor. What a huge challenge. SMILES. But enjoy the link that's below, and please reach out to me at: kolesar16417@... Now here's the link to down load the program and to start enjoying it. Hi Dani,

It is in the table layout options in Word. The long way to access this is by pressing alt and then the right and left arro keys until Jaws says 'Layout'. There are a couple of layout menus and Jaws might not specify that it is the Table Layout option so check that the layout menu is the one to the right of the 'Table Design' menu. When you find 'Table layout' press the tab key until you get to the options you want. Jaws will also give you the shortcuts to the options as you go but I'll give you some here: The shortcut to the layout menu is pressing the alt key, then j, then l fairly quickly. To add a row below the row you're on, press Alt then j then l then b then e To add a row above the row you're on, press J then l then a To add a column to the left of the column you're on, press Alt then j then l then l To add a column to the right of the column you're on, press Alt then j then l then r To delete a row you're on, press J then l then d then r To delete the column you're on, press j then l then d then c. Hope this helps. Regards Zel Zel Iscel Principal Consultant Inclusive World Mob: 0413813885 Eml: zel@... Web: www.inclusiveworld.com.au
