Hello, I am using Jaws current version along with Windows 10 and Officer
365. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to place a password on a folder
within my hard drive so no one can access the files in that folder? I
played around with it but,I don't want to mess it up and cause me pulling my
hair out of my head. Truly appreciate any help or direction to go. Andy

Ann,

I do the same thing.  And I find it easier simply because you have to be located in the table, somewhere, in order for the row above/below or column left/right to have any meaning.  It makes it easier for me to know just precisely where what I'm about to insert is going to land.  Same for deletion, whether it be a single cell or an entire row or column.

Another way to add and delete columns is to use the applications menu--shift+f10, or the application menu key if you have one. Open the menu, down arrow to insert submenu, and go from there. to delete, same thing: down arrow to delete dot dot dot, whack enter, and choose from "cells to the right" "cells below" "entire row" "entire column". For me, the applications key is my friend. that way I don't have to remember so many key strokes.

Good luck!

When you find 'Table layout' press the tab key until you get to the options you want. Jaws will also give you the shortcuts to the options as you go but I'll give you some here:

The shortcut to the layout menu is pressing the alt key, then j, then l fairly quickly.

To add a row below the row you're on, press Alt then j then l then b then e
To add a row above the row you're on, press J then l then a

To delete the column you're on, press j then l then d then c.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Guys.
Using Win10, JFW2021, and Word2016.

1) How do I insert a column in an existing table in Word? Google and Microsoft's website says I can do this through the Layout option, but I'm not seeing anything there that suggests I can do that.

2) How do I delete a row?

I see in JFW's help that a table can be selected, but I don't see anything about how to select either individual rows or individual columns (that may come up later, so asking ahead of time) to be able to work with them.

I'm considering purchasing An Immersion In to Word from ATI but only see an option for Word365. Does this also work backward to Word2016?

Thanks,
Dani

Below is a direct link to down load and to install a uninstaller.
What I love about the program is that its simple to install and even easier to use.
So, enjoy the program.
I'm not a expert on the program, but I do use it quite a bit.

I'm lucky enough to remember my scales and chords after taking eight years of piano lessons.
I just can not be one with the piano.
Now with my Alexa system, I haven't touched my poor piano in a long time.
Maybe as one blind person to another you can help me out?
If you place my hands on the keyboard and ask me to find a note and so on I can do that.
But I can get everything by ear except the most important part.
That is that I can't just pick up the notes and chords by ear.
If I could, I think I'd continue to enjoy piano music.

Hello:

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this group. My name is Betina, and I am a piano teacher living in the United States.
I have a question regarding program uninstallers.
Do any of you know a program uninstaller that works well with JAWS? I am using the latest version of the JAWS home annual license.
Thank you for your time.

Technically, it is still in the pilot program and you go through your regional library for the blind to get signed up for one.

the eReader is a braille display that allows eligible NLS patrons to read
braille books from BARD. It is loaned to the patron by cooperating libraries

Hi we got the NLS e-readers we are testing and they connect very nicely with
JAWS.

One thing we h ave noticed, when writing on the keyboard, you have to write
in grade 1 braille and can you set this to grade 2 and is ther a back
