Hi everyone,
Can someone please tell me how to put numbers on a header that will progress with each new page. I have been able to type something on my headers, but adding a number is getting me frustrated. Everything comes out page 1. I know it can be done, but I haven’t tried it before with Office 2019—which is what I have now.
Thanks.

Don, That hasn’t happened to me yet on my Office 365, so I’m just guessing here. The first place I would go is to the Display Folders button on the View ribbon and be sure that “Normal” is checked. Press Alt V F to get directly to that button.

This used to work but now I can’t find my folders when I press CTRL+Tab. My Microsoft 365 over the weekend, came to work, folders are missing. I can still find them if I do a CTRL+y CTRL+Shift+v. I’m guessing something in my view changed but I’m not seeing yet. I’ve done everything Google showed me, so I’ll hope someone has had this happen or I’ll just keep searching until I figure it out, whichever comes first.

Hi, When I have needed to do this, I press Control Tab twice to move from the inbox to the tree view of folders. I then arrow down to the folder in the tree view that I want to delete and use the application key or Shift F10 on the folder. One of the options on the menu is to delete. I have narrowed it down to FreshBooks or QuickBooks at this point. I've read that FreshBooks used to be accessible, but they took a step back in accessibility. That was a couple of years ago though, so anything could have changed. I've heard from enough of you that QuickBooks is accessible. FreshBooks is the less expensive of the two. Now, it's just deciding which one of them will serve my needs better.

Re: Hearing the word suggestions as I type e-mails
Steve Nutt
I actually like them, because if you hear a suggestion which is correct, you can just press enter, and it is pre-filled in.
For example, if I type S then T and hear steve@... , I can just press enter to fill it in. Saves a lot of keystrokes over time.
If there are more than one ST, you can down arrow to the one you want and press enter.

Hi Kevin,
Go to the closed dashboard link you want to hover over, then press Insert+Control+Enter.
JAWS should announce that changes occurred from a line number, then you can down arrow and read the items.

Hello, and route PC to Jaws. I even made sure jaws key and z was on. No matter what I couldn’t get the options under the item on the dashboard to show up. I went to the sites accessibility page and selected visually impaired. Couldn’t tell if it was selected. Went back to the page and everything is the same. Is there a way I can get Jaws to recognize the options below a item on the dashboard? Cheers, Kevin I’m using the most recent versions of Jaws2021, Windows10 and Chrome. I’m on a site where I wanted to access a option. It is on the dashboard. I was told by help on the site to move my cursor and hover the item. I do and there no options that show up. I’m guessing they are in a drop down box Jaws doesn’t recognize. I tried using the Jaws cursor, route Jaws to PC

I can't help but wonder if Money Talks has been updated at all. Requirements include Windows 98, a CD ROM, and IE 5.5. It reminded me of going back to college in 2009. I had a professor give me an assignment on a 3.5 floppy written in Word Perfect. It took me longer to dig out a floppy drive than it did to complete the assignment.

Hi Adrian,
Out of curiosity, have you ever tried
switching your speech and sound scheme to see if there's a scheme that will do
what you need?
If there isn't a speech & sound scheme to
accommadate what needs to be done, well maybe modifying a speech and sounds
scheme that turns UAI on will do the trick, if possible, when you need UIA
turned on.
If you could modify a speech and sound scheme
it would make what you need to do much easier by just changing the speech and
sound scheme to a scheme that is set to run with UAI mode off.
Stay safe & take care. Mike. Just once, I want a username and password prompt to say: "Close Enough!"

Subject: Re: Annoying Jaws word issue? Here’s one drawback I discovered today. But first, Curtis, thanks for figuring out a solution for this problem. The solution to the one I’ll describe is equally simple, though it wouldn’t have been obvious but for your post.
One way to process Word’s track changes is to press JAWS key+z to turn off quick keys, then press the letter r to move from one revision or comment to the next. With UAI turned off, I still get each revision and comment. However, I don’t get an indication of a change at the beginning of a line. Why does this matter? In a long document, I can move faster through track changes when JAWS informs me that a line has a change or, when JAWS is silent on the subject, that it doesn’t. when it doesn’t, without reading that line, I immediately go to the next one. In a short document, it makes little difference, but in a long one with hundreds of changes, like the one I’m grappling with now, it’s a big timesaver.
The solution? Turn UAI back on!
The drawback: I have to remember when UAI is helpful and when it’s not, and be prepared to turn it on or off accordingly.

With UIA turned off, JAWS no longer pronounces the new line character generated when you press shift with return.
So far, that’s the only down side I have seen.
