well, I'd guess that it being a service, it will be automatically detected that the site uses HCaptcha. therefore, the visitor won't notice any need to solve it.

Hi Mike,

After looking at this, HCaptcha is not really a captcha solving program,
but rather a acaptcha alternative that companies and other web site
creators can use.

Now, it seems that HCaptcha does have accessibility in mind, and has
built in a way of making their product easier for those with
disabilities. It seems from what I have read, that if you sign up with a
private HCaptcha account for people with disabilities, then when you
come to one of their captchas, then you will be able to just skip the
captcha process for that site. The only problem I see is how do you know
when you come to a captcha on a site that it is a HCaptcha? I am sure
there is probably a way of telling. That part was just not clear to me.

How hCaptcha Difficulty Settings Work

hCaptcha has several difficulty modes available for publishers to
choose. Today we’ll look at what they do, and the tradeoffs of picking
each one.
Note: this post refers to options available to standard hCaptcha
users. Enterprise users and platform integrators have more options
available. Please see
BotStop.com
or contact sales@... <mailto:sales@...> to learn more.
Setting Difficulty per Site(key)
First, let’s navigate to the difficulty slider. You have one per
sitekey, and can use sitekeys to target difficulty as needed.
You can use this feature to customize behavior on different sections
of your site by simply creating more sitekeys with different settings.
For example, your password reset page might be Always On to reduce
abuse, while a form to sign up for a mailing list might be Easy to
provide a better
user experience.
Unlabeled 0
The difficulty slider
You can find this in the Sites tab of the dashboard:
Unlabeled 0
Under Settings for each Sitekey.
-
-
How Difficulty Modes Affect Behavior
Easy
Choosing this option provides a classic CAPTCHA experience, delivering
a standard “easy” challenge for most users, most of the time.
Choosing Easy will filter the captcha types shown, generally showing
those that most users can complete in a few seconds.
Moderate
This option will select more difficult challenge types as necessary to
reach a higher confidence in user humanity.
Difficult
This option will show more difficult challenge types than Easy or
Moderate as well.
Always On
This option will never auto-pass, and will show more difficult
challenge types similar to the Difficult setting.
How to Choose
In general we suggest that you choose the lowest setting that remains
effective at meeting your security goals, as minimizing user
frustration is the thing
we all want to achieve.
Additional options for Enterprise Users
Enterprise users also have a wide range of additional options, including:
99.9% Passive
This option will auto-pass most low-risk users most of the time, but
will start to show challenges in a variety of circumstances depending
on your settings.
Please see the enterprise documentation for details.
Passive
This option is a pure “No-CAPTCHA” experience: it will never show a
visual challenge, but will always return a bot score to you. Please
see the enterprise
documentation for details.

Thanks for the help, and I will order the book. I didn’t think I needed it, because I don’t do this very much. And I didn’t realize how things have changed. the way most have described how to do the numbers in headers  didn’t work for me. I followed what others have offered, but I think Office -19 is different from what they have described. I put the number in but it was the same number for each page that followed.

moderated How to get out of editing header mode

Zel Iscel

Hi all,

I get out of the header view by pressing alt and w, then e.

This takes you into draft view, where it’s very comfortable to work. Jaws commands to say page numbers work really well in draft view as well as other things.

Hope that helps.

Everything comes out page 1. I know it can be done, but I haven’t tried it before with Office 2019—which is what I have now.

Thanks.

Don,

That hasn’t happened to me yet on my Office 365, so I’m just guessing here.  The first place I would go is to the Display Folders button on the View ribbon and be sure that “Normal” is checked.  Press Alt V F to get directly to that button.

I actually like them, because if you hear a suggestion which is correct, you can just press enter, and it is pre-filled in.

For example, if I type S then T and hear steve@... , I can just press enter to fill it in. Saves a lot of keystrokes over time.

If there are more than one ST, you can down arrow to the one you want and press enter.

All the best

Steve

Joseph:

Thanks very much for this work-around.

I no longer get word suggestions as I type.

What a relief!

Hi,

This is caused by Outlook’s attempt to guess what you are about to type. The text is part of a UIA notification event. Although I don’t have specific solutions for Outlook, but at least from JAWS side, try turning off “accessible event notification” (found in settings Center).

Cheers,

Joseph

Hi Curtis.

I think I’m running into the same problem. For me, it’s in the message body. If I’m not typing as fast as I can, I hear the suggestion, and hit TAB to accept it if it’s what I want. Most of the time, I’ve already started typing, and I miss the suggestion, so I’d also like it gone as well.

Hello Michael:

Where, in Outlook, are you being bugged by the suggestions? When writing in the body of the email or in one of the to or copy fields?

With best regards,

Curtis Chong

Hi.  I am using office 365 and use Outlook 365 as my e-mail client.  I am running the latest version of Jaws under the latest version of Windows 10 pro edition.  While I am typing this e-mail, the word suggestion keeps coming up which is distracting and annoying.  How do I turn this feature off?  Thanks.
