I've actually created MS-Word fillable form templates to match the check sheets a given user has.  That is if all you're looking for is something that allows you to get the date, pay to the order of, numeric dollars/cents, written dollars/cents, and memo exactly where they need to be.

I will gladly email you that template on the off chance that you're using the same checks.  These things are a PITA to perfect as far as alignments go for any given check printer's page layout, but once you have them nailed it's a perfect printout on to the check every time (barring printer jams, ink running out, etc.).

Hi, Kevin. I found it more convenient to create the account on the gmail website, then, once the account was created, add it to Outlook. I'm not saying this was perfectly easy, I'm just saying that it was more readable on the website than it was to create the account in Outlook. Also, once the account is created, don't forget to turn on the account in POP and Forwarding.

Hello, I’m using the most recent versions of windows10, Outlook2016 and Jaws2021. I wanted to create a gmail email address and couldn’t get it created. I followed steps I found on the internet and it didn’t work. I got stuck on the page where I enter a user id and hit enter on create account. It just sits on this page. Does anyone have some instructions on creating a gmail email address? Thanks, Kevin

It could be that address is taken.

The message concerning that does not read automatically.

Try reading the dialog with insert+b or exploring with the Jaws or Touch cursors.

I would be surprised if it did not.  This has to be using the HTML structure, with lots of emphasis on block quote arrangement, to parse the message.  That should be the same no matter what email client is being used.  That is unless FS has actually limited invocation to be in Outlook only, but it makes little sense to me that they would.

You could test this theory out if you know you have a long, multi-quoted message where the exchange was conducted entirely in plain text.  If it still works, then I have to be wrong, or at least only partially correct and there's a way the algorithm recognizes the differing formats and parses accordingly.

One way to achieve this in Microsoft Outlook that I discovered recently is to reply to the message with focus on the message list rather than in the body of the message. At least in the Office 365 version of Outlook that I have installed on my Windows system, typing Ctrl+R when the focus is on the entry in the message list doesn't quote the text of the message you are replying to. (It only quotes the header of the original, but not the message body). However, Ctrl+R with focus in the message body (on my system, it's configured to display in a separate window) does quote the text in full.

I'm not sure whether this is a recent change to Microsoft Outlook or whether I simply hadn't noticed it previously.

Also, not that this can be used in 100% of circumstances, but way more than many think:  Does her bank or credit union have an online bill paying service.  Almost all of these cut checks and mail them free of charge, and you can set up individuals as payees.

Hey, Brian,

This sounds wonderful; but the person inquiring in the zoom meeting said she has "small checks" and would hope she could find software to work with them. I haven't a clue what size small checks are, and I don't have her email address to ask her.

However.

I will save your message and hope she/we/you can figure it out. :-)

Hi,

When I last was browsing the American Printing House website the program
Money Talk was still available as a download. Program has not been updated
in a long while. This program from what I have heard can print to personal
checks and if it still can be done retrieve your bank statement to update
your check register. It used to cost around $40.00.

I have been using a program call CheckPrinter which was a shareware program.
You can store all the different places you need to send a printed check on a
personal check. Printer needs to be able to feed single checks in landscape.

There was someone at one time who created a template for personal checks on
an Excel spreadsheet and again you need to print in landscape one check at a
time. I thought I had a copy of that template but I don't seem to have it
any more.

Hope this helps your search.

Milton

I finally got the July release installed on my work PC today (jumping from the Feb release).  I’d also just learned about the N quick navigation keystroke within messages.  This is so amazing!  If you haven’t heard about it, pressing “N” while in an open message that has a back and forth with others allows you to jump to the top of each previous message in the thread.  I am so excited about how helpful this will be here at work, where conversation threadss get long, especially when people have long signature files or many others were copied on the message.

Just wanted to be sure others saw this feature.

Mark,

What I cannot figure out is why you're using any form of buttons list.  If you want the list of recently trending searches, then get in the search edit box and down arrow, they will be read.  If you want some subset of searches you've done before, enter a couple of characters in the search edit box and down arrow.

Your original request states, " I’ve finally noticed a number of what looks like recent shortcuts below the search edit box on the Google homepage."  These are not buttons, have never been buttons, and are not accessed as buttons.  You just down arrow through them and, in the case of trending searches, these constantly change and may be different if you jump out of the list or edit search box and come right back to it just a moment later.

Hi, thanks for your responses Brian and  Cieghard.E

More actions Button
More actions Button

Add shortcut Button
Customize Chrome Button

So from what I can tell, the "More Actions Buttons" are a list of shortcuts. Clicking on "Add Shortcut" allows me to provide a name and a URL which when saved, appear below the search box. This makes it easier to click on frequently used webpages rather than trying to find them in your favourites.

It would just be better if JAWS would provide the name of each ubtton as you tab over them.
Trust this makes sense.

I might try the Google Accessibility Desk.

Subject: new n quick navigation in Outlook messages is amazing

I finally got the July release installed on my work PC today (jumping from the Feb release).  I’d also just learned about the N quick navigation keystroke within messages.  This is so amazing!  If you haven’t heard about it, pressing “N” while in an open message that has a back and forth with others allows you to jump to the top of each previous message in the thread.  I am so excited about how helpful this will be here at work, where conversation threadss get long, especially when people have long signature files or many others were copied on the message.

Just wanted to be sure others saw this feature.
