One more question: How’d Edge get the name and address it was using? For some peculiar reason, it had my phone number completely wrong. And I couldn’t even change it—although now I can, thanks to you—but I’ll just leave it out so I can decide whether to give my house phone or my cell phone.  I just wonder where they got it from since I didn’t give it to them. My doctor even had it, and I know I hadn’t given it to them. It scares me a little when technology takes over and tries to control your personal profile. But thanks to you, I’ve regained control. (LOL).

Go to Settings in Edge, then in the Settings Category treeview you should be already on the first tab, Profiles.

Go to where this section starts, it's a heading 2 called "Your Profile".

The first part talks about your profile, manage account and sync. After this you have      buttons for "Personal Info", "Passwords" and "Payment info". Activate each of them and turn them off if you don't want Edge to remember or fill any data.

I’ve looked on Google and I still can’t seem to get it. Please, can anybody help me stop Edge from taking over my forms and filling them out Edge’s way? ?

Usually, I muddle through, but it’s getting frustrating. I’d rather do it myself. Besides, Edge has most of it wrong.

He does not need to buy it all over again, and he can stay with his Jaws 17 but it won’t serve him well if he is going to use Windows 10.

 

He has a perpetual license now.

 

But, he did not keep up with the Software Maintenance Agreements, SMA.

So, he would have to pay for the licenses to bring him current; which could be several hundred dollars, then he could stop with 2021 until it became out of date in a few years and then catch up again; or buy the licenses and the SMA and keep updating each year at the license renewal price.

 

Or, plan on just starting the annual subscription now at around $100 per year. 

 

It all dpeneds on whether he really needs Jaws in its full capacity.

He might find that NVDA would be enough for him if he has been limping along with Jaws 17 all this time.

Can’t one pay a thousand  dollars and own the product?  Has Freedom Scientific done away with the perpetual license  option altogether?  I thought the upgrading fee was only for upgrades of the product.  Not for the original product which was purchased.

If one can still purchase a perpetual license, one need never revert to demo mode at all.  Sent from Mail for Windows 10
