Control+r just replies to the group unless the group happens to be set to reply to sender, which very few groups I’ve ever belonged to were set that way.

Otherwise it is a lot of fiddling with the from or reply fields to figure out the person’s direct email.

Re: Microsoft Edge Shortcut Keys
Brian,
While I appreciate your comments about list behavior in a perfect world, the last time I checked, the world wasn’t perfect. The plain fact is that searching for something on the internet or in a set of list archives for someone without sight using a screen reader takes considerably longer than for someone with sight. And since lists with as many members as this one are dynamic with membership constantly changing, you can hardly expect all members to be familiar with previous posts. And using your example of a thousand members, the cumulative time for the entire membership to delete a message assuming a half second each comes to roughly 8 and a third minutes. I expect most would argue that finding the answer by doing an internet or archive search with a screen reader might take longer than that.
For me, I’d appreciate folks posting to use definitive subject lines with considerably more detail and not to see the same person post two or three messages in a row with the same subject. However, I deal with both of these repeatedly on lists so quickly exercising the delete key is what works best for me.

Hi Glenn Let me know if you'd like any assistance . I've hosted sites
for over 15 years.
When you register and host your own domain, you have the fun of
choosing something creative and also practical. For instance, my
favorite domain that I use mainly for shortcuts is jj2k.com. Then
you can create whatever email accounts and aliases you like. The
most creative one I've set up for a friend was AV8R (for the
aviator). When you are considering your domain name, my recommendation
is to consider the price of the TLD if you go with anything
other than the standard .com/.net for $10/year. I manage a
bunch of domains through a wholesale registrar so that I can
pass on the savings. Two of the cheapest right now are .email
and .today at $2/year.
Once you choose a domain, the next consideration is whether you
just want to hook up email or if you also want to include hosting
for a website. That will influence what service is best.
Cheers, Jeremy

There are headsets and then there are headsets. Better devices have less lag. As far as that goes, though, I can't stand having any keyboard echo turned on, extra stuff rattling on while I'm trying to think just ruines the process. Much better to check things over after they are written.

And just on another note I can't stand using a Bluetooth headset or speaker with my PC because of the lag which every device has. I type and do stuff too quickly for that not to be a problem mand prefer devices without a lag. On my laptop this means that if I want to use a wireless headset I use the Logitech 800 which comes with a USB dongle similar to Logitech keyboards and that is exactly the reason as well why I would never use a Bluetooth keyboard on my PC, just too much lag.

A safer way to reply to a sender if the link is not there at the bottom is to press Shift + Tab when you are at the beginning of the message until you get to the "From" field, here the sender's address is usually available, just put focus on it either with the PC or Jaws cursor, press the application key or Shift + F10 if you don't hav eone and select copy. This copies the sender's address to the clipboard, you can now press Reply or start a new message, if you reply once again Shift + Tab until you are in the To field, press Control + A to select all and delete, then Control + V to paste the private address into the field.

And there is one more thing I would like to add. While it is OK to have multiple versions of Jaws on the system, I don't see any reason to keep versions beyond maybe the one previous to the current one and especially not versions like Jaws 18 which don't even fully support the current version of Windows 10 any more. Personally as soon as I am happy with the current build after it comes out I remove the previous version of course leaving shared components, if I ever had any reason to use it then it's a matter of a few minutes to download it (you could even keep the latest installer in your downloads folder) and to reinstall it.

I would strongly encourage you to follow Dan's advice, load Narrator and uninstall all versions of Jaws and once done go into Apps and Features one last time and check if there is anything left that says "Freedom Scientific". If so remove it as well, then download the latest Jaws 2021 installer and reinstall Jaws. If you are having difficulties and don't have sighted help you could always try Microsoft Accessibility or Aira, I believe Aira has a deal with Jaws to provide help beyond the free 5 minutes, but you would have to confirm with their agent. Both Microsoft Accessibility and Aira have the ability to connect to your computer and help, of course you probably still have to use Narrator to establish the connection.Dan is correct,

Brian, of course, you are correct.
However, having them in an easy to read file with a screen reader is far superior to having to deal with a web site and such when you can simply open a document/spreadsheet and have it for reference while you are using Edge.
Much cleaner and more direct for screen reader users.
I enjoy putting such information into a more user friendly document and making it available so everyone isn’t having to reinvent the wheel.
