I've been using it for years, and it works great, use it every day.
If you need help, let me know.  Here are a few things.  When you
install it, read through the options carefully.  There's an option in
there to install the contact list for blind folks, yes they actually
thought of us.  Make absolutely sure that you do that, or your
experience will not be good.
Just go through the install slowly, and you should be fine.

Hello all, greetings.
Hope every 1is doing good at this tough time.
I’m facing some weird issue on ms teams.
In the recent version of the teams, when I keeping the focus on the
content shared by x y z and pressing enter, screen reader was reading
like x y z has shared the contents press enter to focus and I was able
to access other systems when I get the ctrls.
But, in the latest version of the ms teams, when I press enter on the
content shared by, the focus is shifting to the profile card. And, I’m
unable to access other systems though I have the ctrls.
Please suggest me some alternatives to access other devices
Screen reader and ms teams details are as follows.

She said she tried it with someone else and it worked. Yet she couldn’t get it to work for me. This is the woman with the roosters crowing in the back ground. I had this person twice.

Hi again. Lately, using the latest builds of JAWS 2021 and Windows 10, JAWS
quits echoing my keyboard characters and words while typing not resume until
it empties what I'm calling its buffer. That leaves me doing much of my
typing without speech feedback, then having it all read back when the buffer
is emptied.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

It should work if Jaws is set for the contracted code for input, and the Writer is recognized probably as an Orbit Reader 20.
Note, you should be able to write, but you won't be able to do any of the keyboard commands like insert+UpArrow to read the line.

Albert,

Classic Shell and its analogs are all installed programs (now often referred to as Desktop apps in the Windows 10 era) and they can be removed from the computer just like any other installed program can.  I generally use Control Panel, Programs & Features directly to locate and uninstall.

I so happen to have done this recently for a desktop machine that was being donated to VSDB that had Classic Shell on it.

You do not touch Windows 10 itself.  Once Classic Shell is removed, the native UI reappears.

Good morning Brian,

Around six or seven months ago, I purchased my windows laptop computer from Computers for the blind.  What I’d like to ask you is, I think that the windows  shell classic option may be installed on this computer.  Since you have a lot of knowledge about this, is there or can this option be uninstalled, and if that is the case, would I have to uninstall and reinstall windows ten on     this computer?

I have been trying to get clients to understand that using shells to hide the native user interfaces of any given operating system, in an attempt to make it look like another, is a bad idea that almost always ultimately results in pain.  I know of very few users who never, ever have occasion to use someone else's computer, and if you use something like Classic Shell to hide the native Windows 10 User Interface you'll be like a deer in the headlights when you eventually have to deal with it.  And, as you've noted, it's really not all that much different, and far less different than Windows 8 was to everything that came before it.

Using things like Classic Shell (which, by the way, has been out of support since 2017 and eventually is going to become incompatible with Windows 10, who knows when), Open Shell, Start10, or similar is in no way similar to, say, using an alternative launcher under Android.  These utilities, unlike launchers, have as their purpose very substantially altering the user interface rather than adding "bells and whistles" on top of the basic native interface.
