Re: Outlook Calendar over flow
Don Mauck
I’m using the day view and I always tab through each event on that day. For example, I know that I have four meetings tomorrow but when I tab, I get the first two and then get that over flow. Then it starts to try and look at the next day. It’s really quite a problem since I cannot see all my meetings and I almost missed one this morning.

Which view are you using? I typically use Day View or week view and don’t think I get this message. Note that it’s most efficient to use tab to move through appointments.

Help - can I create a narrated power point using JAWS 2021?
Cynthia Bruce
Hi All,
I am trying to record a conference presentation, and I am running into trouble. The optimal way to do this would be using narrated power point because I can do it one slide at a time. However, I can’t seem to get JAWS to read the record, stop, or play recording buttons – my partner can see them but I can’t get to them. So, I can’t tell if I am recording, can’t listen to what I may or may not have recorded, and can’t delete what I have recorded.
Thanks,
Cynthia

OK Comcast doesn't like mail.com addresses. Every time I send a message there, it keeps failing. The Kindle app download link is here: I've shortened it, because Amazon.com links will separate
into 2-3 lines in emails.

Hmm, I've used the Kindle for PC since 2015, and have had no problems reading with it. I did have registration issues the first couple times, but then an update took care of those. You can read the book with which ever screen reader you're
using, if the book supports it. Most of the ones I've gotten do.
If it doesn't the app has text to speech built-in.

Jeff Lukacsena: looking for Kindle advice
Jeff Lukacsena
Hello List, Several people I know whave written books. I would like to read them, but they are only available in the Kindle format. I know Kindle was not very accessible before. I am wondering if that application has improved. Is it better to use the Kindle on a PC or a BrailleNote Touch Plus. Thanks, Jeff Lukacsena

Hi Brian,
One more question that I’d like to ask you if I may, How would I know what version of outlook that I’m using which comes with office 365? In other words, is it 2016, 2019, or is it outlook 365. How would I be able too find the version that I’m using at this point?

I did know this given my computer background goes back to way before emojis became fashionable, but I have gotten used to people using actual emojis which Jaws reads as "Smiley Face" instead of ;-) and being in a bit of a hurry when I read and answered I missed this.

Hi again Sieghard. The use of the symbols ;-) denote a sarcastic smiley face. That's what Brian was trying to get across. When he said, "Sieghard, you know this is untrue, because it's been asserted to be untrue, contrary to our own repeated observations," He is poking fun at people who are like ostriches with their heads in the sand, and who, despite overwhelming facts to the contrary, believe what they want to, no matter how unreasonable their assertion may be.

Albert Cutolo
Good morning everyone,
Is their a way too delete either some or a few email addresses that are in your contacts list, of email lists that are no longer around, or may have changed to a different email address? If so, how is this process accomplished.
Thanks in advance, Al

Hi again, Joseph. If you want to hear Edge alerts for downloads, once you have pressed ENTER on a download link, press CONTROL plus J to take you to the downloads section. After you have pressed CONTROL plus J, you will once again hear your download alerts.

Hi all:
I have the latest JAWS and my Windows 10 updates are current.
When I run Edge, and I download a file, JAWS now does not repeat download status.
In the past, this has been annoying, at times, because those alerts interrupt any other speech. But, it am now unaware if/when a download finishes.
I found that the alerts are still spoken with Chrome.
Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!

Hi, Joseph. For a long time, I have been using Download Sound, which is an AddOn for Chrome, and if you check "Allow Extensions from Other Stores, under Settings and More>Extensions, you can add Download Sound to Microsoft Edge. This way, I always know when a download has completed. Also, Download Sound gives you a notification if the download failed or was successful.

I rarely run into a CAPTCHA that doesn't have an audio option.
The one I did run into a few days ago let you bypass the challenge
with an accessibility cookie. That one's called hCAPTCHA. Other
than that, I haven't run into one that doesn't in a long, long
while.
