You can if you install the Edge Canari build and if you don't want to do that then just wait a bit longer as I am sure this will be available in a public release in the next few weeks or couple of months.

Hi,

I wish one could use first-letter navigation to browse favourites, just like in Chrome itself with their bookmarks feature.

The way it currently works is a bit time-consuming, using
control+shift+o, then waiting for the tree view to gain focus.

Hi all,
Can someone please tell me how to stop emails from going into my Spam folder?
I've added the sender's address to my contacts, but it's still happening. Using
Office 365 with a gmail address, the latest Jaws 2021, and Windows 10 version
20h2. Thanks Madison

The search function you describe is in Edge Dev, too, and all it amounts to is what you said, automatic invocation of the search function.  That search function actually exists in the current production Edge, too, but does not have automatic invocation.  You've got to fire it up using the search control that shows up after you've hit CTRL+SHIFT+O.

It is a great convenience, that's for certain, but it's currently available with an extra step to fire it up.

Senfrom2889 as long you have the latest rev of jaws either zoom or teams work just as well. my company uses teams and so i have spent a lot of time using teams and jaws together. cool features in teams with jaws are altland h hang up call. ability to set teams and jaws volume separately. use control shift anad m tol mute and unmute microphone. teams also supports text chat lhintfromGaubert<gerygaubert@...>rt<gerygaubert@...>net>wrote:e::

I'll say it again:  Ideally, when you have an e-mail service that has server-side filtering, and Gmail does, you should do your filtering (or corrections to their filtering), on the server side so that no matter what device or devices you're using they'll all have had the same treatment on the messages before they ever even see them.

Creating IMAP Labels (Folders) and Filters for Gmail

And that's whether you use an email client for reading or Gmail webmail client for reading.  The power is in using the server side to handle everything correctly before any client ever sees it.  It also has the advantage that if you decide to ditch a specific e-mail client, get a new computer, get a smartphone or tablet and start reading email from it, that you don't have to touch anything again to have your filtering remain just exactly as you want it.

I’m in twice a week meetings and have used zoom since the inception of the meetings via zoom in March 020.  The controls are simple, Alt A to mute or unmute yourself, Alt V to turn on or off your video etc. I have no idea about teams as I’ve either used facetime, skype or Zoom.  Now Facetime or zoom is my primary source of internet communication when I cannot call them without incurring long distance charges on my iPhone.  .

if using JAWS 2019 or earlier, you'll have to download and install the free scripts from Brian Hartgen's site( hartgen.org).
JAWS 2020 and newer already include the scripts.

Both are usable. However, I find that Zoom is more practical with Jaws
because the scripts that have been written for it with Jaws.

In your junk/spam folder, use the applications key or shift-f10 on the message, press the letter j for junk options, then arrow to not junk, and hit enter.
It should ask you, do you want to trust email from xxx, and there is a check box to check.
Hit enter,
and that person's email should stop going to spam.
There are other options in that junk options you may also want to use at times.

So far it is still only part of the Canari version of Edge, there are two more steps after this, the developer and beta versions before it gets into the public build. Of course I am not entirely sure how quickly this goes and if, for example, Canari features first are added to the other programs or if they can go straight from being in Canari to a public release. I have tried it and it's fantastic, you just press Control + Shift + O and like in the Windows Start Menu start typing a few letters of your Favourite and then arrow down to select from a list of choices.

Best regards,

Sieghard

I heard mention that Edge is experimenting with a new more accessible Favorites system that is available in the latest daily builds. I believe I saw mention of this about two weeks ago, therefore, it is probably making its way into the stable  insider builds soon.

If you feel like impacting this process, perhaps you want to download the latest insider build and use the feedback assistance.

Press your applications key and, for those of you wanting to “sort by name,” arrow down to choice 4 of however many choices it says. Of course, this is for JAWS users. While in your browser of choice open Jaws Quick settings, Insert + V, and type, detect, into the search field.

Wait for a second or 3 for the list to populate and the checkbox / option you want is, Language detect change, if this is checked uncheck it with the spacebar.

Now tab to, Okay, and press enter to save / close.

You can also turn this feature off in Settings Center or Settings Center default all applications by typing, detect, in the search field.  But, the feature will be called, Detect language, in the Settings Center.

Use, Settings Center while in an individual application or Quick Settings.

Use Settings Center default all applications to turn it off in all applications / programs.

To access Settings Center press, Insert + 6, on the number row.

To access, Settings Center default all applications, press, Insert + 6, then press, control, shift + D.

Stay safe and take care.  Mike.

Hi,

You have detect languages on, which is normal behavior.

Open the Jaws setting center with insert+6 on the numbers row.

Press control+shift+d for the default settings, or just leave it on your web settings.

Type Language in the edit field and arrow down to Detect Language On, and hit the space bar to turn it off and hit enter.

You should be good to go.

hi mitchel i would suggest to go to utilities menu and then go to sound cards and select the Bluetooth headset as the  audio source for jaws. as far as the microphone issue go to sound in control pannel and under playback devices make sure that the webcam is set as default device. and do the exact same thing under recording devices.

This means that there are accents or it may be switching to another language. Try stopping Jaws and arrowing, manually, read past the spot.

Hope this helps?
