Dear Listers:

 

Facebook has certainly changed over the years.  When I find someone I want to add as a friend, there is no way to do it.  There used to be a button where you could add someone as a friend, but now that button doesn’t appear to be there anymore.  Can one of you out there help me?  I have found someone I want to add as a friend, but I don’t know how to do it.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with your screen-reader, I’ts how text is being displayed.

 

You have to go into your facebook preferences and change it back to the language you want.

What site for facebook are you using?

That means your language preference setting on facebook is set to french. No doubt this happened accidentally. You’ll have to go into language settings and change it back to english or whatever language you prefer. If you can’t find it, maybe deleting your browser cookies would do it, but I guess since this is happening with all browsers, maybe the setting isn’t cookie-dependent  so this would help nothing.

Nice to hear you went through the BOSMA training program.  I saw an article on that once and thought it might interest me if I decide for a career shift.  So many companies universities and not-for-profits are going to using salesforce for contact management, mine included.

It may be that you need a JAWS script. I was just listening to a FS-cast this morning where the moderator was mentioning a company that does scripting for just this kind of thing.

Hello

 

In outlook 2019 , it should be possible to mark visited links in another color.

 

I can’t find how this should be done or is this by default the case that there is another color?

 

However, Jaws isn’t anouncing the link as visited while it’s working on webpages.

 

Can this be configured so that I know which link is already visited from inside a mail message?

It has been so long since I set up goldwave, but I think there is a setting so that the windows are always maximized. I think maybe is the issue happening when the window isn't maximized?

screen where if I use the Jaws cursor, I get nothing in Goldwave at all
ands so the scripts don't see anything. Now, restarting Jaws fixes it
forsometime, and I haven't figured out what makes it happen again,
very strange.

I’ve noticed this as well. What happened? I ask myself as I try navigating tables now. Even though some might have checkboxes, you have to go word by word to get to the checkbox and use it. Again, what happened? Even on a Word document which contains a school callendar, I can’t use the table layer/the controls and tables feature. Really stinks, so how to fix?

Using Jaws 2021 newest bill as of the one this week.

It was supposed to fix some things in the Tables recognition and it sure made a mess of them, at least on my computer. I am using W10 H2. If I go to a site that has a table in it, Jaws reads all of the cells in a single sentence As an example before it read:

hmmm, that did not work, I will see if I can find the .exe file and
reinstall the scripts and see if that fixes things.
