I still use a Hotmail account and have no problem with posts from groups.io mailing lists.

Hi Maria,
Sorry for the delay as I was watching the inauguration this morning. Anyway, as long as you were getting groups.Iowe messages to that Hotmail account I would leave it. I was not getting groups.io emails to my .MSN (yes I know it’s old) account. As a result, I created an outlook account and I am now getting most of my group .io emails in that account. I have created folders under the inbox to separate out the messages I want to keep from each of the groups. I owe list that I am on.

Maria,
If you know how to move a message, you should be able to mark the items not as spam. In the same context menu as move, you will find some thing labeled junk (I apologize that I do not know the shortcut keys). Once you highlight junk press enter. I believe four options will appear and what you want is to select never block sender‘s domain. A dialog box will appear and all you will need to do is tap through it until you select OK. At that point all groups that I owe should stay in your inbox instead of going to the junk email folder.
The other issue could be your own Internet service provider. I have an old Hotmail style email address and it will not except most groups that I owe addresses. Even if I do the above procedure, it still will not except new groups.io emails. As a result, I created another email address and most groups that I owe messages I receive go to that email without any issues.

Do you do that by moving the messages into your inbox? That's what I've been doing.

Hi, I don't believe that this can be a Jaws problem. Normally you have to go into the email service and mark them not a spam. This can be done on the iPhone very easy. And I believe in outlook easy as well. I haven't done it on outlook.

Sorry for the confusion.

I mis-stated my original action.

When I hit control end to get to the bottom of the document, and then hit insert numpad 3,  I can no longer get information about the file, such as number of pages, etc..

When I do this, I now hear focus, zoom in, zoom out, zoom 100%..

Does anyone know what might have changed here, and how I can get my original document file information back?

I’m using Jaws 2021, Windows 10, and Office 365 here.

I wonder if this is the result of yet another Microsoft 365 update?

Thank you!

You are correct Mark, that is the podcast I was thinking about. I listen to so many podcasts that they sometimes run together in my limited brain size. Anyway, you may want to contact the sparrow and see if you can get a hold of Glenn Gordon.
One other thought that might help you with academic papers, there is a add-on for MS Word now that is called perrl. It will help you format in the new APA and MLA required formats as well as there is a wizard for creating annotations, references, citations, etc. Just something you may want to check out. a

Hi,

Is anyone having trouble accessing polls in Zoom with JAWS? I can get to the poll using F6 and then tab to the question, but I cannot get the cursor to move to the options. It says I have 3 options and that I am in a list item, but the up and down arrows and or tab key will not get me to the options. Zoom seems to work so well with JAWS except the polls. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

I’ve long since graduated from university. However, as an alum of two places, I’ve gone straight to the web designers when encountering problems on their websites. In my experience, they tend to be interested in solving accessibility issues. So two thoughts. First, if you can determine the people who design your university website, try them. Second, if you happen to know an alum who would respect the difficulty you’re having, maybe ask them to intervene on your behalf. Universities tend to respond to alum concerns because any money they give them is given purely voluntarily.

Subject: JAWS and Blackboard follow-up

In speaking with disabilities services at my university, I was told to refer all my accessibility issues directly with Blackboard. She told complaining to the university is not getting any where. They need to be bombarded with complaints from the actual users. The complaint ticket that I submitted months ago through the university fizzled. Another ticket was opened again recently at my university by another student, but I am sure that will fizzle also. Single complaints from a school here, a school there is not currently working. Some how a conglomerate effort to get them to change their platform or revert it back to the pre-summer build is what needs to happen.

Find the format that you want to use, and use shift control c and shift control
V to paste it in th eplaces you want it to be.

Subject: Removing font changes word JAWS2021

Hello,
I am using word office365 version 16.0.13530.20368 with JAWS2021 latest installed on my computer and today I was trying to remove some italics in a document I was working with.

I was told that I could go into the find and replace dialog with control h find the more button and tab to the format menu or press alt with o and choose the font option but when I try to access this menu JAWS does not seem to be able to access it to choose a font.
Does anyone know of a workaround or solution to this rather than clearing formatting entirely?
I know that one can also remove these style changes manually but since there are many places where this occurs in the document, I'd like to have the ability to use the find and replace option.
Thank you in advance for any responses.

I was also watching it. I was just wondering because I know Hotmail was discontinued in 2012 and I use this address for my groups.it looks like your msn account still receives the Aira list messages.

Hi Maria,
Sorry for the delay as I was watching the inauguration this morning.

Joyce,
I think I saw the move menu when I did Shift + f10, but not sure about the junk menu. Side question: Should I switch my main email to Outlook.com because my main account is a Hotmail account.

Maria,
If you know how to move a message, you should be able to mark the items not as spam.

Hi, I don't believe that this can be a Jaws problem. Normally you have to go into the email service and mark them not a spam. This can be done on the iPhone very easy. And I believe in outlook easy as well. I haven't done it on outlook.
