What makes sense for many does not mean it makes sense for all and I am sure there are still plenty of Jaws users who like the virtual ribbon feature.
I also wonder why Vispero does not get rid of the Research It feature in Jaws, the only time I ever use it at all is a few times a year when I want to look up an area code and while I admit that is relatively simple using Research It, it really is not any more difficult using Google or I can simply ask my Google Home speaker, but then of course not everybody has a Google speaker or other smart speaker.

All the assistive Tech instructors I worked with turned off the virtual ribbons, or rather, did not turn them on because it is best to learn to use them like everyone else.
You cause yourself more convoluted steps to go through if you use them.
Virtual Ribbons was introduced in Jaws 12 as a way of dealing with the new ribbon structure.
Since both Jaws and office have improved a lot over the years, it is best to just learn to use them as they are.

Hi, Stan. I don't think turning on reputation-based protection has
caused any conflicts with JAWS 2021 for me. The reason I left
reputation-based protection turned off is that I didn't need my
antivirus and my browser telling me about supposed threats, and causing
me not to be able to download files which I know to be harmless. I can
get along with only my antivirus telling me about supposed threats. Once
I get the file, I can scan that one file with Windows Security, and make
sure it isn't a threat.

I will write you privately, in case you would like me to tandem into
your computer, and talk over with you what you want to be left turned
on, and what you want turned off. I will also give my phone number,
since that will facilitate talking with you as I work with your computer.

Actually, the only nearly accessible gui driven database management app that I know of is mssql studio, from Microsoft, but I personally don't use it, so I can't really comment.  I also know that Eclipse has some database management related Plugins, but I don't use them either.  I have reached the stage of being so comfortable with managing databases with the command line that It really doesn't bother me one way or the other.  But it would be good if someone comes up with an accessible gui driven database management application though.  Cheers!

OK, try this link to get it directly, or go to my web page and look for Jaws Voice Assistant, which is a heading level 2, quite a ways down the page.

I copied the entire help section on the Voice Assistant commands into a Word document with headings and it preserved the table structure, so if you read it and turn on the Quick Keys with Insert+Z you can navigate it with single keys, etc.
I have not added a link on my web site yet, but here is the direct access to download the docx file:
