Fact-based reporting, even with a very strong political slant, isn't propaganda.

This is just more political propaganda... Which I thought was
off limits here.

Hi, Addison. Once you press CONTROL plus SHIFT plus ESCAPE, and are in Task Manager on the tab you wish, press JAWS key plus ALT plus W. You must hold down JAWS key plus ALT, and press W. This will put JAWS in Virtual mode, and you can then select all, and copy to the clipboard with CONTROL plus C.

Can JAWS Tell You when a Facebook Event Goes Live?
Rick Miller
Dear Listers:
Every Wednesday morning a pastor has a short devotion on Facebook. I can tell when I go to the church’s web site that the event is scheduled to begin at a certain time, but I can never tell when it is happening live and can only assume it is happening, and for that reason I miss part of it live. I am using JAWS 2021 and Windows 10. Have any of you been able to tell the moment when a scheduled Facebook event goes live? If so, how?

Even if Madison is using Windows 10, one thing he/she may not know is that in the Apps Folder (accessed through shell:AppsFolder), one does not use the up and down arrows to navigate through the files. The files are laid out horizontally, and navigation is accomplished by using the left and right arrows. Re: ident first line of paragraph
Forgot to mention that if you need to tweak the indent By amount ALT+Y throws focus directly there.

Re: ident first line of paragraph
For any version of MS-Word from 2010 and later, this would likely be the easiest method:
1. Do a Select All (CTRL+A) if you want the indent to apply to all paragraphs, or select the range of text where you want the first line indents to be applied. 2. ALT+H,PG [Home Ribbon, open Paragraph Dialog]. 3. ALT+S, throw focus to the Special dropdown in the indentation section, select First Line from the dropdown. 4. The "By" edit box will automatically be prepopulated with 0.5 inches. If that's fine, jump to step 5, otherwise, edit the box to adjust the indent depth to what you want. 5. Activate the OK button on the Paragraph dialog. All of your first lines on all paragraphs will now be indented by the amount specified. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 2004, Build 19041 The purpose of education is not to validate ignorance but to overcome it.

this isn't something I've encountered and I'm a regular user of Brave. What voice are you using? If Eloquence, are you using the Reed voice or one of the other variations? What parameters are you using, as in the settings for pitch and rate? Is this behavior consistent? In other words, if you perform a "say all" three times on the same page will it exhibit the same behavior on the same text all three times? Can you provide a specific URL where you notice this behavior and specific text areas where the voice changes? With this information we can try to see if we can reproduce the issue. By chance I'm wondering if the "indicate capitalization" option in Settings Center got changed. To verify this, 1: Ensure that Brave is open and that it is the active window. 2. Press insert-6 (on the numbers row) to open Settings Center. 3. Type "cap" without the quotes. 4. Arrow down to the "indicate capitalization" setting and ensure that it is set for "char (meaning character.) In Canada, Who did you go through for this? It's been a while since I have had to go through this process so I'm not sure if the dealer has changed. The last time I called (I forget the specific one) I had to leave 4 messages, so I hope I can go direct through FS. Thanks

With the quality of the free NVDA screen reader being so good I can'timagine anyone paying $1000 for Jaws. I don't disagree that NVDA has now become a very high quality and capable screen reader. However, consumers in the U.S. who need a home license can purchase the home annual license for $90 a year. Also, JAWS possesses many features and capabilities which are not currently offered by NVDA, not to mention many different ways of configuring the screen reader not found in NVDA. browser Tom,
this isn't something I've encountered and I'm a regular user of Brave. With this information we can try to see if we can reproduce the issue. ident first line of paragraph

Hello, I’m using Jaws2020 and word 2016. I need to setup the entire file to indent the first line of each paragraph on its own. I went through the layout tab. I couldn’t find anything that would let me set the file to do it. Are there a string keys I can turn this on? Thanks, Kevin
