If I remember correctly, that is correct. You will know if it did not work if it keeps saying not finished or signatures do not match, stuff like that. I think you are on the correct track.

Could someone please tell me how DocuSign works with JAWS and Google Chrome? When you receive an email with a link to a prepared document using DocuSign, a "Sign Here" button shows up. When this button is pressed, is this supposed to provide an edit field where the name is typed in? Otherwise, how is the name supposed to be imbedded into the document, if you don't physically type it in character by character?

Thank you.

I went into settings and screwed something up, but do not know what I screwed up.

It was somewhere in settings system, and may have been in actions or something but I’m not sure.

Maybe something to do with the task bar.

I won’t fool around again without recording what steps I took so I can reverse them if it doesn’t work out.

In the meantime, Microsoft Disability put my windows in a floating state of some kind and I can get between them with windows-tab and then left and right arrows in the running applications list and pressing enter for whatever I want.

I was fooling around somewhere using the following as a guide.

Any ideas appreciated.

Sharon

Settings, System, Notifications & Actions Pane.  Navigate down to the list under Get Notifications from these senders and toggle off every single one of them where you do not need or want a notification "in real time".  Almost everything defaults to ON initially, so if you've never visited this list in the past you'll likely be toggling a very great many things OFF.

One can also greatly reduce the incidence of notifications, period, by disallowing them for any apps where you don't consider getting them in a really timely manner to be important.

Hi all,

I currently have 2 students with weird line breaks in their Gmail emails. The email will have parts of a sentence on the next line when it should go all the way to the end of the line. It makes it tough to read. Both are using the Gmail web app. do you know what causes this, and how to fix it?

All the Best,

              Greetings,

I was gifted an eBook that someone really wants me to read. It’s an Amazon Kindle book. I seem to remember JAWS not doing well with such books a while back, but I don’t know if it has improved. What about on the iPhone? Is that any better?

If anyone has any advice on how to best read this eBook, please share your ideas.

Thanks much.

Just use the custom label option in jaws. insert plus the number to then scroll down to custom labels while focuses on the control you want to label then you label it and repeat as needed.

moderated Re: Fill in form within a PDF

If the form is a fillable PDF, then you can fill it out in most PDF readers.  If it's not, you can't.

Even converted over into MS-Word will not make it a fillable form, per se, though it would make it possible to type things after the various labels.

If the company doesn't issue this as a fillable PDF form, I would contact them asking what they would prefer you do.  A lot of entities create what amount to printable electronic forms, meant to be printed and filled out by hand, which is no better than real paper forms.  Some are not even aware (which is a shock at this point in time) that fillable forms can be created in PDF format.  Virtually every IRS form you can download in PDF format is a fillable form that allows saving after you've filled it out.

Hi,
The only thing that I can suggest would be for you to ask them to send the form in a Microsoft Word file instead of a PDF file. I have done that with places before, and they were gracious enough to go ahead and send it to me that way. Otherwise, I am unsure, but I hope someone else has another answer so that I can learn as well.

Just as an aside, one of the very best things that came about in settings under Windows 10 is the search feature, which works brilliantly.

You need not enter the exact term that Microsoft uses for a given setting, either, as they've implemented "fuzzy searching."

I virtually always enter a word or two in the Settings Search box when I'm trying to get to one I don't deal with routinely.  One of the search results, and most often it's even obvious which one, is what I'm looking for in most cases.  It saves a ton of frustration.
