I’ve a friend who cannot afford to move up to JAWS2019 however, she has Bluetooth headphones that of course have the sound interrupt problem. I was trying to find the download site to put Silenzio on her system, but it’s not showing up in Google. I guess I should say that a lot shows up, just not what I’m looking for. Can someone provide me a direct link if it still exists?

I tried to report a reproduceable serious bug with Windows Mail and JFW Beta on my system. The report form seemed pretty unstable – I filled it in but I am not sure if it successfully submitted. All that happened when I hit the send button is that the page reloaded with all the form fields I had filled in blank.
Basically
Create or reply to a message. Type some text in the message body. You get typing echo whilst typing but it is impossible on my system to read the typed text using any of the normal JFW reading commands. This makes it impossible to edit text as any attempt to review the text simply results in JFW announcing Message. This fault does not appear with Jaws 2020, Windows Narrator or NVDA. If anybody else can reproduce this bug could I ask that they try to report it as well as JFW beta is currently unusable for me with one of the core Windows apps on my system. David Griffith

Don, Outlook only suggests addresses you have send to recently. By Recently, I mean since the last time the autocomplete list was cleared. If you type a K and only hear one or two suggestions, type a bit more than hit Control K for Outlook to show you all possible contacts that contain those letters. Some people prefer to Tab back to the To button and use that dialog box to populate the address field, but I tend to use the Control K method. There was a recent thread on this list with other furstrations related to this. I find that the way Outlook does autocomplete now is too finicky. Someone had an explanation for it, but still didn’t’ make sense to me. I might find that typing “SM” might show me a Kelly Smith in my contacts, but typing “SMI” Does not. It’s like I have to type one letter and a time and wait after each to se what Outlook suggests before moving on to the next letter. That’ probably works fine for sighted users, but feels very tedious to me when waiting for JAWS to read it out.

Hello, I’m using Office365 with Outlook Microsoft Outlook Subscription Version 16.0.11328.20644 and I cannot get the address auto fill to work. This is when sending emails. I know for example I’ve quite a few contacts that start with “K,” yet when I type that letter, if I’m lucky I get two possible entries. That is just one example. I’m tried the latest version of JAWS2020 and I’m also trying with JAWS2021 including the latest BETA. Version 2021.2011.16 ILM What am I missing? Are we still having this issue in general?

Re: Jaws Home and Pro Editions
Glenn / Lenny
Microsoft will make all programs so they run as
apps, like IOS and Google.
That is why folks can still get windows 10 for
free.
I just authorized windows 10 with my windows 7 key,
so now I'm using both with no extra cost.
So you know that the plan is for Microsoft to make
its money from apps, and not the operating system.
The first step is windows 10 S mode, which is the
on-line version of windows 10, which limits the installing of programs, you have
to get the bulk of installations through the app store.
The method for Microsoft to know which version of
Windows you are using is detected when you open their page.
They know which windows, and which versions you can
use with that system.
I'm sure that if Jaws professional is just an
option, the page will offer both options and explain the
differences.

Thanks, Tom. I think I am just kind of skittish because I have been a long time JAWS user and recall some bad experiences many years ago with JAWS and some of the anti-virus software.
I will be installing it next week and hope there are no negative impacts.

As I think I said the other day, I find that Trend Micro does occasionally cause some disruptions when using Jaws, but the disruptions have been minimal compared to what used to happen with the older Norton Antivirus, for example.
Most of the time, the program runs in the background with no negative effects. Plus, I’m told when a scan is about to start so I can prepare if needed.

Sieghard Weitzel <sieghard@...>
Yes, Control+Shift+E works also in the latest version of Outlook from Office 365 just as Control+Shift+V still is the shortcut for moving messages. Control+Shift+N starts a new note, this is one of the shortcuts which lets you create a new folder in File Explorer in Windows, but it's not creating a folder in Outlook.

Hi
I've used Trend for a number of years. Whilst as Tom says, the notifications n recieved are readable, I've found navigating around the actual console not very usable. I've raised this every year with Trend however they don't seem to have made much change in the accessibility aspect. I continue to use it because its been a very good protection tool. Happy to here from others if they have had different experiences. Be prepared to use the JAWS cursor, PictureSmart and other features a bit. -- Mark Fisher Principal - HR Systems Water Corporation
