some say it is more of a pain to deal with, but I would recommend not to disable or lower the level of protection the UAC provides.

Down arrow to the Share Computer Sound check box and hit Space to check it. Now, what ever you hear from your computer will also be recorded and heard by your meeting participants. You may want to do a test to check the levels, as JAWS may be too loud. HTH

I would first check that JAWS is set to “use on the lock screen”. Otherwise, when the UAC pops up, just press the left arrow once and then press enter. Or you can change the User account control settings to stop it from coming up in the first place.

Re: Jaws with Zoom
Milton Ota
Hello,
Have you gone into the Settings of Zoom and opened the Audio Settings? You may have Auto Gain Control on and this may be causing recording volumes to be on the low side.
Another thing you should check and that is do you have Audio Ducking turn on in JAWS.
If you are running the public beta of JAWS 2021 you may want to turn the Voice Assist off.
That just some thoughts to look into.

Re: Steps wanted to maximize Chrome browser window
JM & David,
If you have focus on the actual YouTube player, the full screen keyboard shortcut, f, will make the YouTube player go full screen. It is a toggle so hitting it again reverts back to the player being embedded on the YouTube page. If you have high resolution video, going full screen may be helpful. If you have low resolution video, it can make matters worse as everything becomes very pixellated/fuzzy. But you can't know what a given video will look like any more easily than by throwing it to full screen and then going back if it doesn't suit you. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 2004, Build 19041 The purpose of education is not to validate ignorance but to overcome it.

I don’t think youtube videos normally fill up the screen – it’s a smallish frame within your browser. There is a fullscreen keystroke “f” (also a button in the player if you’d prefer to navigate to it)…not sure if it’s beneficial to invoke the browser’s own fullscreen command or not.

Re: Beta 2 Observation
Dan Longmore
Hi, The issue has been around for a while now. Sometimes you will get “0 messages” after Outlook has been running for some time. This occurs with the latest Outlook in Office 365. Scrolling up and down or tabbing away and back seems to fix things for a time. Also JAWS 2021 still loses focus like prior versions using the phrase “ unavailable”. for a Windows explorer window. Again tabbing away or around fixes the problem.

I only get 0 items if I press a key too quickly after launching Jaws. If I let outlook finish loading, all works fine. This has been the case for a couple versions now. It is only a matter of a couple of seconds, but those couple seconds make all the difference.

Beta 2 seems to be working much better than beta 1. The only thing I've noticed is that when opening Outlook when in the in-box, Jaws says ,:" 0 items. This happens no matter how many messages there are. I've reported this to FS.

Blank tables in Outlook365
Don Mauck
Hi, I get most of my emails sent to me in the HTML format. When I open an email up, there are usually at least two blank tables which all get read by JAWS. I probably should know this but I don’t know what those tables are nor how to stop them from being read. Can someone jog my memory on this?
