Hi Rick,
Windows + Alt + S will mute those notifications when you are in the Zoom meeting window. The same keypress will turn them back on again.
Hope this helps, Jon

Hi.
I’d be interested to hear if you find one.
I use Wincamp to record videos from my PC, but I’ve never used it for editing.

Go into your personal Jawz settings EN you directory and remove all the Scripps associated with your browsers from your own personal Jaws area and that should fix your issues I think

Give a name to your video and hit ok button. 4. In the next window activate add button > from this PC and select the file you want to upload. (Note: You will have to upload the files one by one). 5. removal of jaws settings.
Patrick Murphy
Hi,
I am trying to remove all settings in relation to internet browsers like ms edge etc. I have gone into options>manage application settings and removed everything including the default settings. I then restarted the computer again, and returned to the browser. Not only are all my custom labels still there, but all the settings including their history have remained. Basically, i think that i have made mistakes when trying out various graphics options in chrome, and now i cannot reset them to factory default. The history of my last changed settings persists, no matter what i delete. Is there any way to completely reset jaws to its factory setting without having to uninstall and reinstall it? I am using jaws 2018. pat

Re: Controlling JAWS in Zoom Meeting

Hi,
If you are using the latest version of JAWS 2020 and the latest update from Zoom Communication, you can silence speech when someone comes into the room by pressing Windows Key + S and you should hear the prompt Alerts on/off. It is a toggle command. I’m not sure if it works with older versions of JAWS. By default since JAWS 2019 Brian Hartgen gave Freedom Scientific the free version of his scripts to be installed with JAWS.
There are scripts you can purchase from Brian Hartgen and I understand those scripts help especially if you are hosting/co-hosting/managing a Zoom meeting. Otherwise the scripts that comes with JAWS is fine. Not sure of the price for the paid scripts of Zoom from Brian Hartgen.
Also Zoom has a bunch of keyboard commands that don’t require scripts and it is written as part of the Zoom client. Check the Zoom website for those keyboard commands.

Yes, turn on speech on demand. Insert+spacebar, then s. The same insert+SPACEBAR THEN S GOES BACK TO FULL SPEECH.

I found the mouse manipulation commands, but encountered a weird problem with email and switching windows.
Kevin Minor
Hi again.
Turns out the JAWS help was my friend, and I found what I needed.
Now here’s a strange problem. I check what I download against an email message that is sent from this service. I open the message, and I switch to my download folder to match things. Problem is the Focus wouldn’t let me do that. I thought JAWS was the problem, so I restarted it with no change. Rebooting did no good. If I close the message, all works fine. Thankfully there were only 6 folders that were out today, but sometimes there are over 50 to check. As it stands, the easiest way to do this is with the QWERTY keyboard. Any ideas?

What are the keys on a Focus for mouse and jaws-PC cursor control?
Kevin Minor
Hi.
I’m at my girlfriend’s place, and I’m controlling my laptop with my Focus Blue 5th generation. I’d like to download music, but the interface requires the use of the mouse. Here’s the braille in keys I need:
Route PC to JAWS Left mouse simulation
Move the mouse by pixels.
I’d appreciate this information fairly fast. If I don’t get it tonight, I’ll use my QUERTY keyboard and look it up. I’d just like something to do tonight before I go to bed.
Thanks in advance.

I’m having a brain lapse here.
Can someone tell me the Jaws key command for increasing and decreasing Jaws reading speed?
I will need to decrease my Jaws reding speed for a ham radio logging software demo that I’ll be doing virtually on Friday.
Thanks!
