I can’t remember who posted this alternative method, but it’s what I’ve been using for a while.

Press the applications key. Release.

Press f. Release.

JAWS verbalizes, “Messages in this conversation.” Press enter.

Shift-tab to land in this list of messages.

Control-a for select all.

Delete key.

To return to the original message list, press escape, then alt-tab, release, alt-tab a second time.

A little burdensome? Yes, but it becomes automatic.

For some reason, even with lots of noodling, I can’t get the view I had. Dern cumputers!

Mitch, press alt-h, then 8, then enter. It’s a toggle.

This is why moderators are reminding their group members to change the subject line if it has not been change and does not match the body of the subject line.  One does not want to throw the baby out with the bath water?

No snark intended, but you've given your answer, or the exact thing you need to do, which is the hard part.

ALT+V (View Ribbon), AB (arrange by), J (subject).   I can't tell you how to go back to whatever arrangement you had without knowing what that was, and you'll need to look at how you've elected to group typically before changing it to subject.  For myself, I use Date (conversations) for my default view, so substitute a D where the J is in the other command sequence to go back to that.

A much more efficient way to delete items not of interest is to group by subject. I had this set, but some gremlin has undone it, and I can’t get it back.

Any Outlook hot-shot wonky wizards there to help?

Jim,

For "quick and dirty" selection of a number of messages that have something sufficiently distinctive about them, I use the basic search function (CTRL+E), enter the search criteria (say, with the quotes, "Purple People Eater" if all the messages have this as their subject, or part of it, and others don't), then select all of the search results after it's done and hit Delete to delete them.

You sometimes have to do several iterations of this, depending on how many messages are involved and how many have already been found when you first do the select all.

Hi.

Thanks for letting me know where to find the DVS track, that is, if the DVD has one. The one I hoped would have it only has English and French. Oh well, I have another one to try.

Hi,

This requires support for modern input facility from JAWS (made more complicated as the executable responsible for displaying emoji panel has been renamed in Windows 10 May 2020 Update). I know that recent JAWS 2020 updates support emoji panel and reading emojis to some degree, but I agree that it is not quite up to the par as in Narrator ()and another one; talk to me privately).

Cheers,

Joseph

🤔

Well, this works with Narrator, but not with Jaws 2020.

Apparently, the menu opens, but Jaws says squat.

I can tab or arrow until my fingers fall off and nothing.

But, when I hear “menu” if I hit enter, an emoji is selected.

Is there a setting in Jaws to make this work?

I ran in tot his today and it’s new to me on my computer but I though I would share how to do it.

Turn caps lock on

Press and hold windows and semicolon together

Arrow over to categories and tab to the different emoji’s on the screen

Press enter on the emoji you desire and it will allow you to stay in the category for multiple emoji fun

Can anyone add anything I missed to this?

I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure you’d change audio tracks the same way you would in a single container file (avi, mkv, etc). Have you tried the track option from the audio menu?
