I haven’t had this experience with Word or Outlook 2016. I have noticed that in Outlook only, spell-check will seem to stop suddenly. However, if I tab once, the dialog for the next spelling suggestion appears, telling me that JAWS simply hasn’t kept up with the spell-checker.

 

I wonder if you’ve tried a JAWS repair. If you’re unfamiliar with this procedure, please post again. It’s easy. Actually, so is a Microsoft Office repair. I’ve done both when one or the other starts misbehaving, sometimes with good results.

 

 

Yes and it does not make any difference.  This has been going on for a while.  I cannot recall when it first began.  I have had a lot of things going on in my life plus what is going on in our country of course.  I just do not recall when it began, but it has been a while.

The ffmpeg command is very simple, just ffmpeg -i <mp4 file name> <wav file
name> and that's it. I have never tried this on Windows, so I have no idea
on how this works under that OS.

In Settings for DuckDuckGo, throw the toggle for "Infinite scroll" to On.   It will present quite a few more results before the need to activate the "More Results" button occurs.

I cannot find anything that allows you to tell it to return, say, 50 or 100 results per page.  But when Infinite Scroll is on, while no longer literally infinite, you get quite a few more results on each page.

currently, i have an old nokia phone about 300 years of age.

i have decided to take the great leap into the unknown and start using a modern tap screen phone.

i have a samsung android phone with talkback on it, but it is proving to be somewhat of a trouble.

i would say, that it is just because i am new to it, but web sites offering training tips seem to be non existent.

also, the braille keyboard seems to be a bit of a pain. i also dont want to have to attach a keyboard to it, as this defeats the purpose of having a phone you can carry around with you.

on the other hand, i have heard, that apple's voice over is much better.

again, training seems to be the problem. i should be able to get my hands on an ifone.

any thoughts?

I've been using DuckDuckGo for years, and I have it installed as my default search engine on every browser I use.  In the Chromium-based browsers, I also have the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials extension installed.

To my knowledge, there is no DuckDuckGo Browser for the PC platform.  They have introduced one for Android, though:  DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser for Android.  All of the sites talking about using this for Windows end up talking about using an Android Emulator to run it, which is way more trouble than it's worth since.

In the PC world, it's a search engine and/or browser extension, but not a full-blown web browser.
