Re: duck duck go browser
I've been using DuckDuckGo for years, and I have it installed as my default search engine on every browser I use. In the Chromium-based browsers, I also have the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials extension installed.
To my knowledge, there is no DuckDuckGo Browser for the PC platform. They have introduced one for Android, though: DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser for Android. All of the sites talking about using this for Windows end up talking about using an Android Emulator to run it, which is way more trouble than it's worth since. In the PC world, it's a search engine and/or browser extension, but not a full-blown web browser. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 The purpose of education is not to validate ignorance but to overcome it.

You can set Duck, Duck Go as your default engine and it works well with browsers. I like it for the privacy it offers. Does not track nearly as much as others.

I need to use Teamviewer to get help on a braille display from the company. Are there scripts for the latest Teamviewer and Jaws 2020? The Doug Lee scripts don’t think I have any compatible Jaws, but then again, those scripts are from 2015.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi David. If you go into the narrator settings, and navigate through all of the options, you will find the braille settings. You have to tab quite a few times to find it, but they are there. They should be self explanatory.

I have had this same issue before as well. I would be happy to help you off line if necessary. As someone else suggested, make sure that Narrator id not taking over the braille support. JAWS did release a technical bulletin about this last November. If all of that is not the issue, then it could very well be the drivers that come with the braille display which can be downloaded from the HIMS web-site. You have to visit. www.hims-inc.com/support, and then find the braille edge section. I currently use a QBraille, and honestly, my opinion is going down about the unit. It is very tricky to make work with the computer, but it can be done. I had to reinstall the drivers with the display actually off. Then, once that has completed, I had to turn on the unit, and then set all of the JAWS settings for it. I select Braille Edge as the display, which is what you would need to do. I would be happy to send you a copy of the drivers privately if you need them. Best of luck.
