I have updated JAWS, and I have updated Edge. The problem is that JAWS is sluggish, and does not hold focus well. Any help would be appreciated.

please, i just installed win10 2004  with jaws 2019-June
i'm facing some issues:
1- unable to read windows settings windows+I
2- also noticed that vertual curser didn't work too,
i did windows update for drivers and repair jaws, still problem, any fix for this?

another point how i access wifi, usually in win7; press F12 to open it (hp laptop) then from system tray left click to let it search for wifi and select the one i want to join
here i can't.
left click show airplane and like this...

i'm new to windows 10 any help?

Richard, I am surprised regarding your statements, for me Jaws 2020 works just fine in Settings and if I switch to the Jaws cursor, which in settings activates the scan cursor, I can read all the same information I can read with Narrator

Sadly, in windows 10, Jaws is mostly useless in the Settings.

I think you may be able to use the touch cursor or the jaws cursor, but I just unload Jaws or put it into Speak on Demand and launch Narrator with control+windows+enter, do what I need to do in settings, then unload Narrator with the same hotkey.

I’m not sure about the WiFi issue.

Sadly, in windows 10, Jaws is mostly useless in the Settings.

Recently, Jessica asked a question about creating a desktop shortcut for a website in Microsoft Edge. There is also a similar tool in Google Chrome. To use it,

1. Open Google Chrome.

2. Open the website for which you want to create a shortcut.

3. Tap the ALT key and arrow up to More Tools, and press ENTER.

4. Arrow up to Create Shortcut.

5. This will place a shortcut on the desktop.

6. It will also place an entry for the site in your Start Menu under Recently-added apps, and possibly in All Apps.

Be aware that, even if you delete the shortcut which was placed on the desktop for the website, this will not delete the entries in the Start menu. If you want to delete these,

1. Press Windows key plus R, and in the "run" dialog, type

%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

2. You can either delete the subfolder here called Chrome Apps, or you can open this folder and delete any stored websites individually.

Hello, I was having a problem getting an blue tooth ear bud connected to my laptop. Microsoft accessibility updated my windows10. It is version 2004 and build 19041. I’m using Jaws2020 most recent version. Has anyone used this version of windows 10? Has anyone had any problems? Some times short cuts on the desk top don’t work. Then when I use windows explorer it will show folders and files I recently used. It also has desktop, documents and downloads pinned. Is there a way to stop this from occuring? Thanks, Kevin

I have the occasional "burp" in terms of Windows Media Player not being able to access the media database, but it's only occasional.  We're still ripping away in my household with Windows Media Player and it's still snagging media information.

Only bad thing I can say about CDex is that I can't use the keyboard to deselect the crapware that'll be installed by default. It's programs like Avast, toolbars etc. If you don't have some one around or on remote who can deselect by using the mouse then you can download the portable version that doesn't need installation.
