Also, sometimes when this happens randomly you can just reboot and the
next time it won't ask. But if it keeps asking you are likely out of
luck.

Re: Eloquence voices missing

Have him look at the Synthesizer and Braille Manager (it's under the
Jaws utilities menu JAWS+J, U then arrow down to find it).

Under the synthesizers have him make sure that Eloquence software is
listed. If not, I believe he will need to reinstall jaws, as the S&B
manager can neither install or remove eloquence (it's considered too
basic to jaws operation to allow that).

it is Depended upon what prefferences you have set in the adobe
reader(ctrl+K, and select reading from the tree view). set the
following settings:
infer reading pages from document,
and for large docu ments, only read the currently visible pages.

Automatically announcement when a person log on to Facebook Chat (using Miranda)

Anders Boholdt-Petersen

Hi everyone

I have setup Miranda chat client so I can connect to the chat on Facebook,
because I not longer can access the chat via Facebook website.

In connection with installation of Miranda, I have found and installed a set
of scripts to JAWS, so Miranda should be more accessible, se more here:

http://www.blind-geek-zone.net/data/miranda%20jaws%20scripts%20setup.exe

.

It is possible to adjust Miranda or the set of scripts, so JAWS read when a
person log on to Facebook chat?

I can see that the system tree chordly announce when a person log on,
because the persons name came up, and after that disappear again.

I Using JAWS 12 and 13, and Miranda version 0.9.44.

Very thanks.

Regards,

Anders

Hello,
My computer came with IE9 installed as default so I had to reinstall IE8 to
work with Jaws 11. I'm not having any problem except with the I'm feeling

The more annoying problems are with the alt tabbing and the ctrl arrow keys
and the subject line and contact fields.

Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) by default is 32 bit, you have to hunt
around in the Windows start menu to get to the 64 bit version of IE, so you
are probably not using it.

Jaws11 just plain does not work well with Windows 7 64 bit on some systems.

You only hope is probably to wait to upgrade to Jaws13. Sorry!

You may wish to consider re-installing Jaws11 as a last resort, but that is
not very likely to solve any problem
Thanks,

In general there are few, if any, performance benefits from using 64 bit
applications in and of themselves. The main benefit to 64 bit, given the
current Microsoft architecture, is that you can use more than 4GB of RAM
(memory). This is useful if you certain resource-intensive applications,
such as graphics programs, database applications, etc., or are a developer.

Please note that the "Home Basic" version of Windows 7 64 bit only supports
up to 8GB RAM, to use more you need "Home Premium" or to go over 16GB, any
of "Professional", "Ultimate", or "Enterprise" versions.

Hello,
I've not installed anything from windows recently. I'm on a laptop and I'm
not quite sure how to change resolution. I'm not sure if I have IE for 32
or
64 bit, didn't know there was more than one although if it did ask me I
would've chosen 64.
I'm trying to get Jaws 13, but it's probably not going to be for a while.
This laptop is new as of Christmas and I haven't changed the hardware at
all.

Eloquence voices missing

Sameer

Dear Friends,

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend.

He was playing around with the various speech synthesizers & is now stuck with the Microsoft speech synthesizer. He is unable to find the Eloquence voices. Is it necessary to reinstall JAWS or is there a setting which can bring the Eloquence voices back?

He is using JAWS 11 on a Win XP computer.

Regards
Mr. Sameer Latey
