Robbie,

           As I have previously mentioned, F11 will only work in an MS-Word form document that has no editing restriction imposed.  A well designed form should have editing restriction imposed to allow only filling out the form as its initial state.  The three templates I supplied are an example of that.
 
            If you have either the blank templates you're using, or links to same I'll be happy to take a look at them, but I am not going to even try to guess as to what the designer may or may not have done with regard to the design of that template or restricting editing.

            As an aside, I do not know why, but all of your replies are embedding your message immediately after a quotation of the message heading from my prior message and before the message body of my prior message.  This is very unusual since it has happened more than once.  Top-posting is generally the best way to respond unless you are making a point by point response or are maintaining a line from a previous message for context.  Neither seems to have been the case here.

I just played with a resume template and the way it let me navigate was by using the tab or arrow keys. I did try using F11 but nothing happened.

           By the way, and I just tried it, if someone has created an MS-Word fillable form template, and has NOT restricted editing, you can jump from form field to form field using F11 to move forward and SHIFT+F11 to move backward.  A good form template should have editing restricted to filling in the form only as the initial state.  If editing of the text that's a part of the form itself, rather than a fillable field, one can do so using these instructions.  (Note:  Anyone who intends to be creating or using Microsoft Word Fillable Forms needs to add the Developer Tab to MS-Word and keep it there.  Several of the commands below rely on having access to commands in the Developer Tab, which is not visible, nor accessible, in Word's default state).

Unprotecting All Word Form Fields and Converting Them to Regular Text

a.       Activate the Developer Tab, Restrict Editing.  ALT+L,PE

b.       Activate the Stop Protection button, which is the only button.  Just Hit Enter

            I'd have to see the actual template you're trying to use, as what various people consider templates, and even more so, form templates, varies widely.

If you want to play with three MS-Word Form Templates created by me, that are entirely accessible, download and open any one of these three:

BusNoteForm.dotx

NVDA_Github_Issue_Template.dotx

New_Client_Intake_Form.dotx

In each, once you activate the template a new fillable form will open in MS-Word.  You tab from form field to form field, some are edit boxes, some are checkboxes, and on each the screen reader should announce what it is you have landed on such that you know what you would be entering or checking/unchecking.  Hitting F1 on any form field should give additional help, but most often will just repeat what you heard when you first landed in the field.  I did the F1 help mostly so if someone was in the middle of filling out a form, and got distracted by something, they could just hit F1 to find out where they had been in the form rather than needing to tab and shift+tab or vice versa to get the form filed announced again.

Hi,

I use the Walmart site each month to order many grocery and other items. I'm using the latest Jaws2020 on Windows10 and have had no problems.

one thing that helps me to locate my search results is to use either the L key to find lists of search results or the G key to skip through graphics. Almsot all results will have a corresponding image. It would be nice if the site was layed out to be a bit more screen reader friendly, say by using Heading styles, but it is still very doable with JFW once you get used to it.

Sorry to be so vague. I once saw that you could use F11 to navigate through Word templates such as resumes, forms and such. I tried navigating through the fields in a resume template with F11 and nothing happened.

This is far to vague to be answered.  What is it, precisely, that you're trying to navigate?

Is it in the template itself in when it is in edit mode?  Is it the document created by the template and, if so, what form of editing restriction is in place (e.g., fill in forms only)?
