Re: Walmart.com and Jaws
Marie <magpie.mn@...>
I order from Wal-Mart almost every week and find the site very accessible
and I love the fact that I can take the full week to complete an order, adding
whenever I remember something that I need. The IOS app is useable but not all
that easy so I much prefer the website.
Right now there is so many things that people rushed out and depleted the
store of, it is taking time to re-stock.And delivery times are sometimes
difficult to schedule due to the increased deliveries.
But there are beginning to be fewer out of stock items and you learn to
pick what you can get at times. I got used to the site pretty quickly and have
been overall pleased with the service. In addition, the customer service has
been excellent. I give them a definite thumbs up.

Subject: Walmart.com and Jaws I want to explore the possibility of ordering groceries from Walmart.com. I have the latest version of Jaws and a sighted friend says it doesn’t look doable with a screen reader to them. Is anyone using the regular part of Walmart.com or the grocery.walmart.com section with positive results? When I tried to navigate the sight, there did not seem to be any rhyme or reason to things but I’m told visually it is laid out very clearly. Also, when I tried to search Google for any tips, I got nowhere.

I have been using the Walmart ordering system for pickup for about six months. I have no issues what so ever. Most of my orders are of 75 items or more and it’s easy to keep track of what is ordered and what is spent on the fly.

Re: Keyboard Shortcut for Navigating Word Templates
Robbie,
As I have previously mentioned, F11 will only work in an MS-Word form document that has no editing restriction imposed. A well designed form should have editing restriction imposed to allow only filling out the form as its initial state. The three templates I supplied are an example of that. If you have either the blank templates you're using, or links to same I'll be happy to take a look at them, but I am not going to even try to guess as to what the designer may or may not have done with regard to the design of that template or restricting editing. As an aside, I do not know why, but all of your replies are embedding your message immediately after a quotation of the message heading from my prior message and before the message body of my prior message. This is very unusual since it has happened more than once. Top-posting is generally the best way to respond unless you are making a point by point response or are maintaining a line from a previous message for context. Neither seems to have been the case here. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Tolerance is the positive and cordial effort to understand another's beliefs, practices, and habits without necessarily sharing or accepting them. ~ Joshua Liebman

I did try using F11 but nothing happened. Can you send or tell me which document you tried so that I can see what happens? Thanks. Robbie, By the way, and I just tried it, if someone has created an MS-Word fillable form template, and has NOT restricted editing, you can jump from form field to form field using F11 to move forward and SHIFT+F11 to move backward. A good form template should have editing restricted to filling in the form only as the initial state. If editing of the text that's a part of the form itself, rather than a fillable field, one can do so using these instructions. (Note: Anyone who intends to be creating or using Microsoft Word Fillable Forms needs to add the Developer Tab to MS-Word and keep it there. Several of the commands below rely on having access to commands in the Developer Tab, which is not visible, nor accessible, in Word's default state). Unprotecting All Word Form Fields and Converting Them to Regular Text 1. You must first remove the restricted editing settings that allow you only to fill out the form a. Activate the Developer Tab, Restrict Editing. ALT+L,PE b. Activate the Stop Protection button, which is the only button. Just Hit Enter c. Close the Restrict Editing pane. CTRL+Spacebar,C 2. Select all content in the document. CTRL+A 3. Issue the command to convert all form fields to regular Word text. CTRL+SHIFT+F9 At this point all form fields will be straight text like the rest of the document, and can be edited just as you usually would. Robbie,
I'd have to see the actual template you're trying to use, as what various people consider templates, and even more so, form templates, varies widely. Hi Sameer,
I’m hardly using Teams for three weeks now on a laptop running Windows 10 with jaws 2020 latest update because this is my employer’s recommended tool for remote working.
This app is globally accessible except for defining a “contact group” in the “Chat” tab, “Contacts” subtab.
In order to learn how to use it, I started from this web page:
I did not install any Jaws script yet but if there are some, I’d also like to know.
Hope this helps. Have a nice day. Chris D

Re: Walmart.com and Jaws
Hi,
I use the Walmart site each month to order many grocery and other items. I'm using the latest Jaws2020 on Windows10 and have had no problems. one thing that helps me to locate my search results is to use either the L key to find lists of search results or the G key to skip through graphics. Almsot all results will have a corresponding image. It would be nice if the site was layed out to be a bit more screen reader friendly, say by using Heading styles, but it is still very doable with JFW once you get used to it. ~Ann On Mon, Apr 13, 2020 at 02:46 PM, Angel wrote:
