Hi. I have a couple of questions regarding the use of anti-spyware with
JAWS. First, which is one that you would recommend for use with JAWS?

Second, how do you use it without deleting programs which are important.

I am asking the last question because when I tried to use Super Anti
Spyware, it came up with about 25 DLL files, and some of them were
checked,
some of them werent. But I was afraid to delete any of them for fear that
they belonged to important programs.

Thank you for your assistance.

try googling Nod32 and read about it. I'm sure its manufacturer describes what it does or doesn't do.

In the meantime, I'm not sure why so many people don't trust MCSE. Is it because it's a Microsoft product and it's free?

System restore with JAWS

jaws@...

Hi! I was getting error messages when I was trying to open mail in Outlook Express this morning, and when I closed the program and tried to open it I was no longer to even do that. I'm wondering how to do a system restore using JAWS because I seem to recall having a great amount of trouble doing this independently many years ago. If it's possible to do a system restore using JAWS independently, could someone please tell me how to go about doing this? I was just telling someone yesterday that I ruin everything I touch. I was only joking, but maybe I was more right than I realized. (Sigh!)

Julie,

Even with the percentages turned on, they don't always speak with all
dialogs. In fact I think I've never heard them read automatically when
copying files. I have to interrogate with a Insert+T or Insert +e.

In any case you go to settings center, then and type the word progress and
you can set the interval.

Julie:

When you are copying or moving files and folders, use the JAWS command JAWS/INSERT KEY+num pad PGDN and JAWS will tell you how much time remains.

In addition, by default, JAWS will tell you from time-to-time, in percentage terms how much of the copying or moving process has been completed.

Help needed with a script for selecting next character

Kimber Gardner

Hi All,

I've never done any scripting before, but I find I need a script to
select and read next character in a terminal emulation program I use

I was able to find the jkm file associated with the application but
I'm having trouble adding the keystroke.

I know that shift+right arrow selects by characters, but I need to
hear each character spoken as it is selected.

Can anyone help with this?

My system does report percentages during copying operations. Percentage
reports can be heard by pressing insert-tab.

This is true in XP, and has been true for many versions of JAWS, including
