I have had this happen before as well. It has also happened when opening some documents from the internet. It reads as just a bunch of run together words, for example in a newsletter that I have opened.
It is really random.

Hey.
So from what youv’e said, the spaces are not actually there – JAWS isn’t “leaving them out” you have to go back and insert them. What makes you think this is related to JAWS? Are you not experiencing the same typing glitch with Narrator or NVDA? Because if this was happening to me the first thing that would probably cross my mind is that my keyboard is faulty.

Hello list members, For the last week or so, when I am typing an email, or document in word, (using JAWS , there are frequent instances in which the space between words is left out, and so I have to go back through the document/message and insert the space. FYI: I am using JAWS 2020, though this was happening with JAWS 2019 as well. Is there a setting that I can add or change to reduce the occurrence of this Issue. This is really frustrating! Hi Dennis,
When I add a script to My Extensions I do it manually
because other info regarding the script needs to be added as well, then I put
the whole file into the default and compile. I can't explain this very
well, but I'll send this message to someone that can. In the meantime
there's a download link below for 2 tutorials regarding the My Extensions &

Subject: A couple of Jaws problems Hi, How do I get the Delete key to say “Delete?” Second, When I put a script in MyExtensions.jss, then compile, then compile the default.jss (since it calls MyExtensions.jsb,) the script doesn’t work. If I put it directly in Outlook script file, it does. Other scripts in MyExtensions work, but some don’t. I’ve made sure the keystroke isn’t being used elsewhere, but still no go. Any ideas?

Voice Activated Remote control https://www.assistivetechnologyservices.com/VoiceActivatedRemoteControl.html
There are likely more, but you could also search for blind technology lists and maybe find more generic technology lists.

Speak On
David Griffith
I have never distributed my Speak On material through this list before but given the recent interest here in using Speak On as an option as an accessible eBook Reader and Podcast Reader I thought that I should do so just this once. There is a Speak On Mailing list where both I and Isaac the program developer reside with others which may, in future, be more appropriate for more detailed discussion of Speak On. Details below.
I finished the Podcast on using Speak On as a Podcast reader yesterday and the link to this is also provided below. I think it is OK though I have not listened all the way through.
The Podcasts are being distributed by talking Computers on a monthly basis and will be eventually hosted also on the Speak On Web Site. However, especially at the moment I have no problem with any others linking through their websites etc so that as many as possible enjoy Speak On now in what are difficult times.
First is a link to the most recent Podcast and then the full list.
09 Speak On and Podcasts.
This Podcast covers searching for a Podcast, subscribing to a Podcast by adding to Favorites, downloading Podcast, and browsing the Category Online directory Service. As part of this it show how Speak On acts as a virtual BBC Sounds app. It also covers importing OPML files from another Podcast Reader and briefly covers the optional VI Podcast app which provides access to selected Podcasts of interest to Blind and Partially Sighted People. Note For a demonstration of the third Podcast facility in Speak On , via the tunein Radio app to download Podcasts and Radio shows from that service, please refer back to Podcast 5 on Internet Radio and Speak On.

Re: An equivalent to restarting Jaws?
Adrian Spratt
Hi, Gerardo. To that key combo, add the Windows key. thus: JAWS+windows key+F4. But I’m finding it doesn’t work as smoothly in 2020 as it used to. One thing several of us noticed is that pressing control+Windows key+enter, which brings up Narrator, also brings JAWS back when it stops working. It’s fast. then, of course, you’ll need to press the same key combo to close Narrator.

I seem to remember years ago, there was a keystroke one would press for shutting down Jaws, and restarting it again, without having to unload via Jaws+f4, and reload it via the Alt+Control+j command? Is this keystroke still available, and what might it be? Thanks for refreshing my memory.
