Re: Finding the ip addresss of a computer?

Hi,

I have a computer, in outside my home, that I'd like to access, when I'm not physically near it. I have the remote desktop app on my iphone and ipad. The computer is running win10 pro, and jaws2020. You have to have a password on the computer you want to connect to. You also need internet access. Once that's done, open the "remote desktop connection" app, and there are several tabs. Under "advanced, I think it was where it asked for the server name. After that, it constantly asked for my password, and would not take it. Can anyone help? I'm so close to finally getting this. Thanks, Jessica

jaws key and j.

control alt j is the shortcut keys to load jaws from the desktop icon. when jaws is installed this shortcut is removed and you have to re define it again. then you will be able to either shortcuts to bring up the jaws dialog to quit the program.

Hi,
Instead of rebooting your PC. Just go in to the Windows run menu by typing, Windows key+R. Then type, jaws2020, and hit enter. This usually brings Jaws back up when Alt control J doesn’t work.

Jessica,
What is it, precisely, that you're trying to accomplish here? And using what program or instructions? Any of a million things can ask for the things you're asking about and it would make it much easier to help if one has the whole picture. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Tolerance is the positive and cordial effort to understand another's beliefs, practices, and habits without necessarily sharing or accepting them. ~ Joshua Liebman

Wait, where it wants the server name? What steps are you exactly taking? I’m utterly confused. By the server name you shall type your IP-Address.

Hi. I feel like learning html would be the best place to start. I haven’t yet created a website myself, but this is all good stuff to know for various reasons. Check out this page, there are a great many useful things here, including a set of details lessons. https://www.w3schools.com/html/

Good day friends!
Thank you for adding me to the mailing list. This is my first post to the group, and I am excited, I can have my inquiries head.
I have never created a website before, and I want to learn how to do it. Where can I start? Is the place accessible with jars? Some people were telling me that I should use notepad, how is that effective?
Thank you for all the suggestions in advance!
Best regards
Thabo

Hello, The current manufacturer of the Romeo and Julilette braille embossers are handled by Humanware. They took over sales and servicing from Enabling Technology, Inc. over about 10 years ago.
They do have phone tech support and offices in the United States, based in New York. Go to their website for more information.

I have a Juliet that’s about 20 years old and I downloaded a copy of braille blaster software for it. I bought a a serial to U.S.B. cable. The only thing I still have to figure out are the margins. Using that free software enabled me to not even both with the old version of Duxbury. When I have more time, I’ll play with the margins. Just jsomething to consider. Judy

Hello, I want to find a used Braille Printer within reasonable price. I would prefer interpoint but, not absolutely necessary. Of course, a new printer would be nice, the cost is not. Does anyone have a suggestion on a BRL printer tht won’t fall apart before my eyes? I know where I can borrow one but, it is about 12-15 years old and is either parallel or seriel port. I am looking around for a converter cable to USB and it is not recommended. Not even sure if I can find the drivers. Thanks for any help here. Andy and Shubert

Don't. It's flaky at best, and you should learn how to use the real one instead. More than just one man's opinion.

I have tried the F11 trick, in chrome Firefox and Internet Explorer, and it changed nothing. but, if I turn off the virtual cursor in Jaws, I can tab backand forth and Jaws reads the messages fine. But with the Virtual cursor on, Jaws doesn't see the messages at all. Should I report this as a bug to someone, and exactly how do I go about doing this? ~Ann
