Adobe Acrobat DC Question
Tom Behler
Hello, everyone.
I am trying to read a multi-page PDF attachment I just received, but I can’t get Adobe Acrobat DC to advance beyond the first page.
Is there a setting I need to change to make this happen?
I used to be able to read multi-page documents with no problem, and wonder if something got changed in an update.
Thank you!

Accessible software to write braille music
Zel Iscel
Hi lissters,
I know there is at least one person on this list who is doing a PHD in music, so I’m hoping I could get some advice on accessible music writing apps. Is there any affordable software that translates music into braille.
This is an enquiry on behalf of a friend so my apologies if I’m not using the correct language.

Automatic page refresh is not a browser option but something you set in Jaws quick settings, no matter if it’s IE, Chrome or Edge, just press Jaws Key + V, type “refresh” in the search field and disable it.

Hi, The issue folks are talking about can be summarized in one way: UI Automation. The following is a bit geeky, so please bear with me: By default, Edge 79 (beta and stable) enables native UI Automation implementation. This means in order to access content in Edge (Chromium-based, that is), solid UI Automation implementation must be agreed upon between web browser (UIA server) and screen readers (UIA clients). Unfortunately, according to one screen reader vendor, UI Automation in Edge 79 isn’t solid yet, so one screen reader is resorting to forcefully turning off UIA support in Edge (from screen reader point of view). As for all sorts of announcements JAWS is making in Edge 79: this is caused by UI Automation notification event (introduced in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update). This event is used by apps to let screen readers announce essential messages. This is how Narrator can announce certain messages, and recent JAWS versions support this event. For now the workaround (until Microsoft resolves this) is forcefully telling Edge 79 to not expose UI Automation to screen readers. This can be done by:

The address bar is the “omnibox” which is what it is called since it is more than just a field where you type in a URL. So, since you can find the address bar (I still call it that) and apparently typed
Edge://flags
Correctly since you found experimental flags, you are in the right place. This UI Automation is in fact one of the experimental flags you have to disable. If you use Jaws you can simply invoke Jaws Find with Jaws Key + Control + F and type this:
UI Auto
Press enter and you end up on UI Automation. Arrow down a couple of times until you are on the combo box where it says “Enabled”, open the combo box and change it to “Disabled”. Now go to the very bottom of the page and activate “Restart” or you can simply close Edge altogether and open it back up.

Try the touch cursor and see if it works better. It often does in those sorts of applications. Frankly, I just don't worry about it, once I've told it to get updates I go do something else. You're going to get the updates regardless.

Pc cursor jump's all over the screen in Windows 10 settings screen
Michael Munn
Hi all,Hi all, I have a concern and I don't know if that can be resolved. I recently bought a new laptop and when I finished my activation of the screen reader to this computer, I begin to experience this problem when I'm updating my computer. Every time when I press tab and focus the cursor to the first update, Jaws begin to jump off of it after announcing the first update out of 6 or 7 updates. To make it fair, I unloaded Jaws and loaded NVDA and NVDA seem's don't have this problem. Does this issue can be resolved? if so How to do it? Hope to hear from you'all. Best regards Michael Munn
